Too bad your cooker does not allow roast to be loaded such that it rotates "end-over-end". Only in that orientation do you get different gradients of "done" with outer cuts the most done with each successive cut being slightly more rare. The Ronco Showtime is excellent for cooking using that orientation and addresses those preferring the end cuts as well as those who enjoy their prime rib rarer.
