Floor mesmerized me with her talent, her vocals and stage presence, but what really endeared her to me was to find out how humble, kind, and down-to-earth she really is. She's an all around lovely lady.
If i'm right, Floor discovered "Nightwish" in 1998-1999, after she has started "After Forever". And she met Tarja and the whole band in 2002, because her band was in the first part of their gigs. So, in 2012, she already knows personally the members of Nightwish. The timing was good: She needed Nightwish and Nightwish needed her.
She's a superstar for many people but seems to be so humble, shy and even uncomfortable confiding in front of cameras.
I can't imagine to stumble upon her in a shop, even if i'm a 51 years old dude, I would start crying too.
Yes, I've seen this. She is so humble. No ego. What's not to love about her? Love that you love her too.

I will be 55 next week and have always loved strong vocals and even though I am an old metal head, love all kinds of music. The moment I heard Floor's voice, knocked me on my ass. She is the greatest I have ever heard. As a person, being in her fanclub, and I am not a fanboy type of guy, first time only in my life, she is so sweet, kind and funny as a person. I shower her with compliments, because I want her to feel and know how great she is, her response is always humble, I am just Floor, that is her.
I have a lot of respect for the humble way she handles herself and the way she stays grounded I wish there were more like her in the music industry over here
Similar age and similar feelings. I've been following bands and musicians since my mid teens. Floor is the only person I have admired strongly enough to join a fanclub in all those years. I joined Floorworld on day one and will be there until they turn out the lights.

Old you say? Only the devil is old!…. Didn’t you know that? And why am I telling you this? because i believe so and said so! I strongly recommend that you take my word for it. Old he say’s, pffft.
She just glows so bright in every way possible and then some! For me, the greatest of her many talents, is making the world a better place for us all.
That was/is one of the best NW concerts I`ve ever been. As a Finn I must say the best so far, cause it was also in my home town, Tampere. That tiny record shop is a legend in Finland. It was the first record shop in Finland importing all the best music from all over the World, but mostly from the UK and the US. And it was a "one man band" at the beginning. People all over Finland came to Tampere just to visit this tiny store with unbelievable catalogue of Artists and Bands. I still remember my first visit as a young boy in 1980. Floor is amazing human being, everybody loves her and We are so proud to have her with Our National Treasure, and she is our National Treasure, sorry Netherlands! There are many videos about Floor, also showing how down to Earth she is. Like when she moved to Finland, "Learn the set list in 48 hrs", her "Covid-videos" from her farm and family in Sweden and NW recording/making an album videos. To start with. This is what made me really love Floor…her talent is unmistakable but it’s her humbleness and down to Earth personality and just true beauty in all aspects that made me a huge fan of hers.
Two of her classmates are actually much more well known in the Netherlands than Floor is
Danny Vera for instance he sings old school style country and is pretty darn good “rollercoaster “ is his biggest hit #1 for weeks in the charts.
I wish as many people would know and appreciate Floor in her home country

I am sure a 100% everyone knows her by now. Her performance in "Beste Zangers" certainly changed that. That has put her on the map here in her homecountry. She has,...pop concerts in her homeland with Nightwish, her own theaters show's, radio, TV, her own CZcams channel!!! Ask around, who doesn't know her in the Netherlands? A hand full mabey?
Great piece. You'll see a down to earth superstar that loves parents very much, stands quietly while parents talk. I love the record store, when told she makes people cry, she doesn't know what to say! So humble.
Yeah you can tell it is almost uncomfortable for her to get such praise for just doing what she loves. imo I think she has embraced it a little bit sense then but she is still just as humble as she was then
One of my favourite documentaries. Floor as a real person is moving to see. The only problem with this documentary is that it makes my eyes leak.

It does make me wonder - why was she bullied at school? And the only answer I can come up with is jealousy. Something Floor herself would never be guilty of, I think.
@@NickBR57 well knowing kids and how cruel they can be I bet it was something more simple and stupid like her height but Im sure there may have been some jealousy if not then then surely now
True beauty comes from within. Floor has this by the bucket load.
In my opinion people can erect a cosmetic façade but will never hide who they truly are underneath. Floor has no need for a façade, her decency as a human will always burn bright.

This was the class of 1999 from the Rock Academy in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Other classmates that became famous in Floor's class are; Vocalist Jacqueline Govaert from the band Krezip and Singer-Songwriter Danny Vera and Wu-Tang Clan-rapper Tarik "Cilvaringz" Azzougarh. 🤟

Just think, this Class reunion was in 2015. Now Floor had just gotten to be in the band as official member for under a year. I believe she was announced with Troy that members from 2015 forward. Of course Floor had known that already from ti,e that the Wacken 2013 was done and holidays were underway. And in here where she sees clips from Tampere 2015 concert ,her parents in those good seats in stadium. No wonder she started to cry a little. She had so bad burnout before she got this NW gig. And maybe it is like Tuomas said, that band helped her in the time when she was suffering from bad depression, and Floor brought sunshine, smiles and huge Aura of emotions for the band. No wonder this might be he's favorite moment in in any history.

Truly an amazing singer and person and a great role model
I often wonder if a certain guitarist in After forever ever look back at this and feel any guilt for the pain he'd brought to Floor's life after they broke up?. She really loved that band but the people say angry Floor when she was in Revamp but that's only seems that way on a couple of songs they did. Floor's always been an empath always had a good heart and once you get to know her and her personal life you learn how vunerable, fun and human not fake she is.

i thing she can thank tuomas.he wrote the songs songs for other members.but he give floor the freedom .every old and new song is so different in floors vocals.
i mean many songwriters said that the singers must only do her frequenz of singing.they never told about that another way is totally great.......they do there job and will that sound it like that.(them).

Floor has finally made a big name for herself in the Netherlands. She's up for the award as top rock singer / act ... I don't have the details handy on that. But she is selling out her solo shows all over Europe. Nightwish continues to ROCK! I was in the pit for a show in May it was a lifetime moment to photograph the concert of my favorite current band - I've been around 6.5 decades and seen most of the major acts of the last 50 years. Nightwish is right up there with some of the all time greats in Rock. Floor and the guys were down to earth there was not a second of attitude or superiority coming from any of them. Heck a couple of them kept asking if I needed a beer.
I'm absolutely sure if Floor wasn't so grounded, she wouldn't be where she is today.

I think this was School of Rock reunion, or something. It is fun to her parents, they are all sweethearts.That was such a big show debuting Greatest Show on Earth.

She worked hard for her singing, she had a BurnOut, she see Jukka and Marko had isues and she self had a bad time ...

Floor was predestined to success, for that she had to overcome challenges until she reached where she deserved to be. When he got there, he remained the same person, simple and humble.👨🏻🎤

Talent and really hard work is one thing, but it only takes a small problem with your body or mind in case of Floor to not be able to tour anymore, I think these grounded stars have seen hardship. They've seen others in the industry work at least as hard and fail, their is an element of luck as well.
14:19 I know of only one singer who can keep singing while emotional: Suzuka Nakamoto aka Su-metal of Babymetal.

Those were notmher fans in that room. It was a class meeting. Rock Academy's 1st ever pupils. Amd they talk where has their lives went since they left the world exploring adventure
