Yeah. I was always confused about that when I first saw thee scene in the US. Like although she flipped her off, why were the characters acting like Lindsey roasted her when there were far more brutal insults in the show. Now that I know about the Canadian version, it makes a whole lot more sense. Wish they kept that in. A long bleep is far more hilarious and satisfying.

Here you had innocent and naive Lindsey cursing off her "friend" for a long ass time, and as a kid it was genuinely the greatest thing ever. There were only three moments where I really noticed that something was off in the US version of Total Drama, all in Island.
    1. In The Brunch of Disgustingness, when Chef announces the first course as "beef meatball bourguinon". But they still got the point across by showing the bull writhing in pain.
    2. In That's Off the Chain, when Chris welcomes the campers to the Arts and Crafts center, and Duncan calls it the "Arts and Junk Center." In the Canadian version he says something that means junk, but sounds like crafts.
And 3. Lindsay's rant. In Canada it's just one long bleep. In the US it's... not.

I also had three moments where I noticed something "off", and Lindsay's speech was one of them.
In The Big Sleep, Chris starts the Canadian history pop-up book with "The beaver: national animal and a 'real' fine hat". Yes, he emphasizes the word "real" as though it was a pun. Which it was, in the original Teletoon broadcast, where it was a "dam" fine hat.
The next episode starts with Heather taunting the Bass with "How's it feel to so much?", to which Harold responds "Not good". Notice how weird Heather's question is, just grammatically? They didn't even bother coming up worth a word to replace "suck".

I mean some are kinda understandable
“if i get an eating disorder, or my boobs done”
“seven minutes in heaven with a skanky”
but others.....make no sense. You already mentioned them censoring “crap” and “skeeze” but funny enough, they did NOT censor heather’s bra coming off or any of the nudity (even though it was already pixelated) for that matter.

That's why I like the original quality of Total Drama other than the new one. I will always use it for my videos. And I hate how America changed the show. They changed the ratio from 16:9 to 4:3 instead of zooming the episodes out and placing it on the center. Sure it will be harder to see, but it'll still contain the 16:9 ratio. Never use the new version.

    • @kevinrosario2729

They should have just letterboxed the show when it first came out. When CN transitioned the channel to full 16:9, they still showed the older episodes in 4:3, and to make things worse they stretched the image instead of putting black bars on the sides.
