- 👋 In todays video lets learn how to ride a motorcycle! The easy way to ride a motorcycle for the first time. Motorcycles are a ton of fun and I love being out there on the road. So lets get into learning the basics of how a motorcycle works and when steps you need to do for an easy transition learning to ride a motorcycle. This video is geared more towards beginners but if you have experience riding a bicycle or dirt bike, that will really help you. First I show the basics like all the controls. The throttle, clutch lever, brake leavers and shifter are the functions you'll need. Then we start it up. And once your motorcycle is running, slowly let the clutch out with just a hint of gas and you can start riding. 🏎

I can totally see myself falling off at 40mph- wrecking my knees and the bike lol Great tutorial Brian! But I better go to Motorcycle school to learn. ( And when you're just learning how to ride, don't buy a Hayabusa for a first bike)
Lol riding is definitely fun! A Hayabusa would be a lot of bike for a beginner for sure!
What about a 2008 yamaha r6 as afirst bike??
BROOOOOOOOOOOOO, u just explained it like no one else did. I have my uncle as my trainer but I barely could learn coz I was scared & couldn't handle a bike...
Thank u for the weight & balance tip, I'll try it again tmrw!
Glad to help man! I've been riding on 2 wheels since I was 4 years old ;)
Good luck!
great great video brothers👌👌😎😎😘😘GL👍🏻
Thanks man! Fun filming with the bike
Appreciate you bro
Thanks!
I like how you explained the concepts on clutch control and shifting gears on the bike, I understood it.
I am going to buy a manual trans equipped sports car to have fun and practice driving it before I try it with motorcycles. I can imagine the feeling of falling on my bum from screwing up on a motorcycle. Gonna go through a MSF course first, I am going to need it . 😳
MSF safety courses are going to be an interesting experience,
Great way to go for sure! Anything with a clutch will teach you the concept very well!
I want to learn soon. Can't wait to ride a motorcycle
Start small on maybe a dirtbike and then try larger bikes
Thanks Bryan
Nice Video
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Riding a Motorcyle does Include more Threats.
Yeah it has a danger level. But defensive riding goes a long way
Well that was quick
Easy video to film for sure! Quick and to the point
Do you have any tips when it comes to steep hills and starting on those?
You can definitely hold yourself with your feet while you start up. Or use the brake to help. Once you get used to riding you really don't have trouble starting on hills. On a bike it's much easier then in a manual transmission car
Be aware of objects that may be thrown from other vehicles.
See Jack black in anchor man “ did you throw burrito at me bro”???
Be Hypervigilant because some drivers don’t see or care you are there. 👀😮
I don’t ride on the highway much. So luckily I never deal with that. I stay away from cars on most of the trips we do
You must have read my mind, thinking that you should make a tutorial on how to ride a motorcycle lmao. Thank you!!!
lol glad you liked the videos! Figured I could do some basics with motorcycles with the nice weather!
Cool
Thanks! Love the R6!
im 18 and i wanna get a motorcycle license/permit soonnnn. my father has a sportster and its sm fun passenger, but i want to drive!! also, if you have to come to a quick stop is it hard to shift gears quickly?
If you need to come to a quick stop, just pull in the clutch and hit the brakes. Shift once your stopped down to N. Definitely get some seat time riding a bike and slowly work your way into it!
How tall are you man? as I’m looking into an R6 and wanting to get an idea on seat height.
5ft 11. It is a tall bike and I'm never flat foot. But I've never had issues with it
👍🏽
Thanks man! R6 is fun to film!
I can tell you haven’t taken the MSF beginner course. You need to recommend for others to take the course so they don’t kill themselves
I’ve actually never heard of that 😅. I grew up riding dirt bikes so the mechanics of riding is easy
@@BrosFOURRSpeed look into it bro. I would love for more motorcycle riders to be on the road but safely comes first.
@@MrKmarls yeah for sure. A lot of crazy riders out there unfortunately
What I'm sacred of is falling i never tried a bike yet but i feel like if i did try i may fall
Start small. I rode dirt bikes as a kid, then raced AMA motocross all through high school.
If you might need some extra bucks, modeling your motorcycle "jumpsuits" might do the trick 😄 Those things look expensive!
I heard they can get up to $2000
Lol thanks man! 😅. I spent about $1k on all my gear. Aside from my boots I got everything as a last year model. So I saved about $500 with things being ‘last years’ model products
@@oreally8605 For sure! If I bought the newest version of everything I would have spent close to that
Your brake fluid seems very dark, you might need to change that.
Could just be the shadows from the container itself, but always important to check it periodically!
I'm Not Really Fan Those Bikes I Really Love The GT-R's Also GR Supra's Also Like Bugatti's Ferrari's Koenigsegg's Lamborghini's Also Last But Not Least The McLaren's and More.
Yeah those are some sweet cars!
What about break use
Use your brakes as needed. About 50/50 front to bake as a beginner. But as you ride more you'll use your front more
Do you need to apply rear and front break at the same time?
@@narendrabisht7843 It depends on the circumstance. But the front brakes are way more powerful. So as a beginner, I'd say use both together
Definitely no conversions today
And I’m done with the conversions.
Noooooooooooooo
@@westvirginiaandmontana9022 You’re in the US and A, and most of Mike and Brian’s viewers are from the US and A, so it’s pointless.
@@DaveDVideoMaker oh
Yeah just some good pointers for today’s video
Can we talk about stopping though lol
Hit the breaks lol. Generally as a beginner you'll use both about the same. But the front brakes does more of the stopping. So it's like 75/25 front to rear
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I figured that part lol I mean as far as gears.. is it like a manual transmission when you just kick back into neutral?
I’m avoiding riding motorcycles (don’t ask why).
Me too
They are some fun! Not for everyone of course
@@westvirginiaandmontana9022 not for everyone
