    I wouldn't give Dak an extension unless they go on a deep run this upcoming season.. which means AT LEAST an NFC title game appearance. No point in paying him all that money just to fold and lose every big game come January.

      Well you would make a horrible GM so if the Cowboys don’t sign that Prescott they’re gonna get hit with a $54 million cat pit which they might take this year but what’s your recession plan Trey Lance Cooper Rush because you’re not getting a top quarterback in the draft because Dak Prescott always wins 12 games you’re gonna have a top 20 pick so you would probably get fired unless you own the team. Then also you can say that for 15 different quarterbacks so you’re saying they shouldn’t of paid Justin Herbert he’s never won a playoff game

Dak his entire career has had an elite O line, a great run game, a plethora of receivers, and these last 2 years an elite defense. At this point I think the writing is on the wall. Jerry Jones has decided and is fully prepared to go with Trey Lance as his QB next year. He is a businessman and has realized his ROI on Dak doesn’t justify 60 million and the worst that can happen with Lance is the Cowboys don’t make the NFC Championship for them the 30th straight year. He fully knows that even if it’s a disaster and they go like 4/13 it will have zero effect on the Cowboys brand. So just start afresh the next year but if Lance works they have a super toolsy qb with a much higher ceiling than Dak for years to come.

    If the Cowboys don't get to the NFCCG this year, we need to stop acting like they're a genuinely serious organization, sorry.
    It has been almost 30 years since they went to an NFCCG. Ever since, they've eithered missed the playoffs entirely or gotten unceremoniously bounced in the divisional or wildcard rounds. They cannot keep riding the legacy of a dynasty that a large portion of the NFL fanbase (myself included as a 29 year old) literally never got to see.
    This is the year that needs to make or break them. If they fail to make a deep playoff run and Dak walks, we need to stop talking about them. So many interesting young teams in this league to still be talking about a relic from the 90s as if it's still in vogue.

    I dont think Dak will crumble from anxiety from not getting a contract. He lost a brother one season and was able to play to his standard level. He'll be fine (and this is coming from a Cowboy's hater).

    Dallas won't change. JJones won't change. Dak will have a good to very good regular season, and then collapse in the first or second playoff game. They also have no proven running back of any note.

    Dak is a below average quarterback.
    Seriously, if that means lower than 15th in the league, I think I had him 22nd last year. You have to factor in the team and coach in the quarterback's success. Nick doesn't really do that.

  • @barrydavey7188
    @barrydavey7188 Před 25 dny

    LOL, after reading all the comments let's be serious, Dak isn't the only problem, the Cowboys have a lot of loud mouths who don't deliver when really needed, a big one on defense, you know who I mean...

    The “next man up” business model is ruining team sports. What the #$&* has Dak done to deserve $50+ million a year?
    Mahommes has set the bar. Lamar and Burrow have produced at an elite level. Josh and Herbert have been consistent. Everyone else is inconsistent….ie Murray, Hurtz, Dak, Goff, Lawrence, Cousins
    Paying good players…”great player” money is bad business. The NBA has the same…max contract problem
