    I've had my 3520H now almost 10yrs and used it for landscaping projects, gravel road maint, and running my small farm - not a ton of use but got a bit over 800hrs on her. I do all my own maint and repairs and there are some pros and cons just like ant brand but overall this has been a great machine.

      I couldn’t agree more with all your statements. At the end of the day any type of machine is only as good as the maintenance and care it is given while in use and at rest. Many folks just think the name carries a degree of consideration for all aspects of, unfortunately that just isn’t the case. Water from one county is different to another regardless of the treatment is the same. Not to say this in a derogatory or mean it as such, educating yourself on everything in life regardless if it is machine or even spouse and the like. Educating yourself on a moment by moment basis can not only make for a better life but also can bring a wealth of understanding. Society today is so connected to quick and unproven knowledge they find from little proven information it has led our world to such a loss of understanding. The internet is an awesome tool but people unfortunately spend little time of confirmation of information. One day we will see and hopefully start heading the right direction again! Thanks for commenting and long live our 3520’s!

    Thank you for taking the time to provide this review. Very helpful! Folks around us get so used to the 'traditional' brands, like JD, etc. and I'd never really heard of this brand. For us, a tractor like this looks like a great option as we just can't shell out the money for those top well-known brands. Doesn't look like we have to though as this looks like a solid tractor for a small farm like ours. Thank you again and hello from Michigan!

      Thanks so much! Most of the lesser known brands aren't as bad as many would like to think. When we were in the market for ours we looked at all of them, every color , every. They all have a place but most of all. You purchase what works and what you can afford. We have over 200 hard hours with this unit being used for farming and also hard utility work. It hasn't let us down. It has been a great investment and we are looking forward to many years of great service. Thanks for commenting!

      Good morning! We hope you enjoy your 3620 ad much as we do our 3520. The 3620 came our 2 years after we acquired our unit and is essentially the same as ours but the biggest difference is the 4 speed transfer case which would be really nice to have. 1st and 2nd are fairly close together but 3rd is a big difference between 2nd and 3rd range. That 4th range would be very handy for sure. They did clean up several small issues in the 3620 and for the price you just can't beat these tractors! We have a vid coming out in the next week or so where we have been expanding our trail system and the 3520 exceeded our expectations again. I'm fairly certain they aren't meant to be used like this but I didn't hear it complain so we just kept on working! Hopefully your wait will be short and you can start using your unit soon. At my work we have Same(it is actually made my Lamborghini), Case I H, John Deere and Kubota. They all do things well but none stand out better than the other. They range from 65hp being the smallest and almost 200 for the largest. We do lots of pulling of implements along with trailers, also many rear and front hydraulically operated equipment, a little of our work involves loading. Having said all of this our newest tractor is almost 4 years old and is a Kubota. All of these made it easy for me to go with our Branson, it is much work to keep these things up and very costly too. The Branson offered the simplicity along with the robustness we wanted which none of the tractor I work with have, don't get me wrong, they are heavy relatively speaking but it all comes at a cost which made it easier to go with Branson! thanks for the video, about to pull trigger on same tractor! can i put in a request? maybe next you do maintenance, like fuel filter, oil, h fluid or even greasing!! thanks for all the work you did making this

    • @CornucopiaFarmstead
      @CornucopiaFarmstead  Před 6 měsíci

      Happy new years ! Actually the engine oil was changed at 300 along with the fuel filter too or else we could have made a video of that. The manufacturer suggest changing the oil after the first 100 or 200 hour for the engine and I believe 400 or 500 for the hydraulics, they do recommend 50 just for the hydro filter but we went ahead and changed the hydro oil and engine oils at 50 hours rather than the latter. If the engine and or hydraulics both function and sound fine I would normally change them to schedule, however if the appear abnormal in sound or feel different then I will change them early. This engine I have changed it first at 50, 150 and again at 300. It isn’t that big of a deal and for the 4.2 qts it takes is a small investment I look at it that way. For the greasing that is really a sticky, if you ever hear metal to metal it is already too late. Don’t use your machine more than 2 days in a row without squirting some grease through a zirk, if you ever sell your machine people will appreciate all those grease piles around the pivot points. Clean your radiator screen and check your air filter at least every other day, pop an eye down the radiator for coolant while you are there too. The machine will reward meticulous maintenance and will leave you shameful when not.
      These are small prices to pay for machines that do us great work. Shoot a message back when you have yours, all the best!

    Excellent video. I am a retired Marine and my mos was HE mechanic. Turned wrenches in peacetime and under fire, and in my opinion, Your choice of shuttle shift over HST is wise. Not knocking the HST owners, but an HST has limitations. The transfer of HP to the ground is number one. That whining you hear from HSTs when they stop moving is lost HP. A lot of HST owners would argue that point, but gears will always win in that regard. Anyway, I’m a new Branson owner, (waiting on delivery of 2515R), and I choose Branson for the same reasons. Looking forward to more of your content. Blessings to you and your family.

      Thank you for your service Sir. I am an army brat myself, my dad serving in Vietnam for 11 years. Different day and age today.
      Being mechanically inclined one would just have to decide in my opinion how often they change hydro and engine oil when comparing the 2. Of course if one is simply going in straight lines(mowing while not pulling heavy) or maybe tilling in moist muddy soil. Much is to be considered. For me the safe bet is gear drive. We won't have to worry so much on charge pressure and loss of power along with shorter oil life from being hydro. No different than a butter or razor knife.
      We really like the Branson for many reasons. After comparing and using many different utility and Ag machines over 3 decades, for the price overall build quality along with materials used in these machines. They are very hard to beat. We have a lot going on right now, hopefully folks wont be to upset with all the vids that are going to come out! Planting, building, clearing, sawing, fabricating and things you probably shouldn't do with machinery will likely be showing up! Not sure if the vid going up the steep grade has landed yet but that was an interesting ride too! Overall we are sharing to have a diary for our grand kids along with maybe helping others with inspiration and education(both maybe right and wrong?). Lots of stuff coming and thanks again for commenting! OOH RAH! Ric

      No argument there. But the bulk of my tractors work is done off the ass end through my PTO. As I am now halfway through this winter using my tractor to move snow, I agree the HST will be better when running the front end loader. But I do not regret my decision.

    • @CornucopiaFarmstead
      @CornucopiaFarmstead  Před 2 lety

      I do agree, but on this particular unit I preferred the gear drive. I felt the pumps used were smaller than needed for constant hydraulics. Though I can't be for sure with the quality of the system they use(I'm sure it's one of the many shared between most small tractors), having said that most of our small utility tractors used at the tree farm wear these pumps fairly quickly which is a pretty great expense every couple of years averaging about 150-200 hours a month. I'm not knocking the system but, our tractors that are single utility use wear pumps out every couple thousand hours even running the best hydraulic oils. Typically the main pinion gear shaft in the pump develops wear groves. This shaft isn't sold independently (not that I have found)which causes you to purchase a new/reman pump. For that reason that's why I personally didn't purchase an hst. Do I enjoy using complete hst, absolutely. But working on them from heavy use has pointed me a different direction. Enjoyed the overview! I’m in the research stage myself, and looking between the 35-48 range. I thought I had my mind made up on a Kioti DK4510, but then I stopped into a Branson dealer, and checked out a 15 series, and 4820. Think I may be leaning a little more toward a 3520 or 4820 Branson now!

    • @CornucopiaFarmstead
      @CornucopiaFarmstead  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you! We hope this helped with your research too. It is a tough decision on a purchase such as this. With the class size you are looking at the market is flooded with many choices. Power is almost the simplest decision while the rest only seem to complicate matters. Consider weight right beside power as with power a dollar amount is attached to each one of those ponies, weight is exactly the same. You will either pay for weight in the purchase of a class size or you will pay for ballast weight in the form of add on costs. Branson stands out when weight is a factor. In each class from Branson the weight increases in the form of frame and structural components along with rotating masses. Another consideration in 2021 for the 20 series tractors is the 4 range transmissions. Prior to 2021, like most other manufacturers tractors were limited (most but not all)to 3 range gearing. In the 20 series today they are all 4 range which is awesome. We have a 2020, 3520 gear drive. It works awesome in any range at any engine speed. Compared to all the others we considered we made the decision for the Branson as it truly out performed all the others in every category we were concerned with.
      After over 150 hours in just over 1 year, other than paint flaking on side steps and 3 point parts(all were warranty claims)we have had zero issues. In consideration of another we will simply purchase a smaller unit in the mid 20hp range and use it for smaller jobs rather than the 3520. Hope this helps , give us a shout if you have any other questions or considerations! Thanks for commenting and subscribing! Good luck on your decision!

      @@CornucopiaFarmstead Absolutely agree on power and weight! And great point on the weight to size class ratio, and comparing that with adding ballasts or other measures to add weight to, say a 15 series tractor with the same hp. I’ve got 20 acres I’ll be maintaining, and I’m really wanting an offset flail mower at some point. That extra weight of the 20 series will definitely help out with just that implement alone, when mowing on a grade or ditch. I think a grapple will also be worth it’s weight in gold, as I have a lot of clearing left to do.
      I did take note of the 4 ranges as well! I think the Kioti DK series only has 2. Glad to see feedback like yours, and that you haven’t had any regrets or major issues with yours!

      @@ryangoyne3589 Yes sir! We are looking in to the offset flail as well for the same considerations. Our property is 85% up or down. Traversing isn't even considered but up and down has not been a problem at all even approaching 6 to 7% in 4wd with appropriate weight placement front and rear. We haven't added beet juice to the tires yet but that will be done. I have a grapple in the works but use pallet forks until the grapple arrives. Lifting along with heavy pto pulling hasn't been a problem to this point. The tractor truly has exceeded our expectations for ,to us, is a great value over all. Truly please. Add third function front and rear and that is all else we have planned for modifying on the machine! I would be concerned with getting dust/dirt in the intake while removing a dirty dusty screen. I just rinse it off even while the engine is running. My only complaint is that there is no hot warning light on the dash. Twice I have not noticed the engine temp getting hot due to dirt on the screen where as a warning light would have been immediately noticed. The temp gauge location makes it not as obvious as it is on my trucks and cars.

All your computer does is read data and the engine is direct injection. I have a 3725R and did so after only 10 hours of operation. I bought my 3520R new and the dealer didn't have "time" to deliver it so I hired a tilt back to go get it. That should have been my first hint that this thing was going to be a piece of crap. There is only 300 hours on it now and the computer went at less than 100 hours, shuttle shift lever broke at the weld on the column, dip stick broke the first time I pulled it out, accelerator cable from the food pedal broke, bent a tilt cylinder dumping snow, battery cable terminals at the battery rotted off, tail lights have gone out twice and the dealer said you can't just replace the bulb, fuel pump went out last year. Just replaced the v-belt and battery and have had the alternator checked but its still not charging, slide pin for the skid steer mount on the bucket froze up, there is a short somewhere that is keeping the back lights from working (techs said this is a common problem), emergency brake is not working and there was a recall on the front end but the dealer said I waited too long for him to cover it. It also has a very annoying odor when its running. I put 6700 hours on my 1700 Ford over a period of 30 years and it took a beating when we built the house. Wishing now that I had rebuilt it instead of buying this money pit!

      Hey bud , that def sounds like a money pit. Actually sounds dreadfully close to my first and only Honda civic once owned! Some times you just get a lemon and sometimes you get a test unit that has been repaired and sold. I can't say for sure that is what you got but by the symptoms I would guess you were sold a unit that was used as a test rig, not sure but possible. Either way it sounds bad, really bad. At work we have Kubota m6-141 . It is less than 3 years old, has been out of certain parts of the warranty for 3 months now this tractor was purchased for about $120,000. In the last year over $5000 of non service work has been performed at the dealer as most electronic work is locked out to the owner. At any rate, I am neither defending nor supporting any of them and wouldn't even if they paid me. I would take an old hammer any day over a new one. It's unfortunate and I hope you can get it worked out or sell it? Fortunately we haven't had any bad luck yet, hopefully we won't either. All the best and Goodluck!
      Думаю это хороший результат и хорошее вложение денег.

    I am a fellow Branson Tractor owner, I have a 3515H, I was bush hog today in some thick brush when I was done, I noticed that my fuel cap was missing. Branson wants $60 for a fuel cap. I was wondering if you would have time to help me find a fuel cap that would work. I was hoping you could take a couple of pictures of your gas cap and if possible, measure the circumference of the part that screws in the tank.

      Sure thing. I'll work on that tomorrow and put the pictures up on the community page on our channel. I'll also see what I can find that cross references. Hopefully these caps aren't pressure specific. If they are that would explain the costs. Most fuel caps today are pressure sensitive on modern diesels. It is possible this could be one, hopefully it isn't so. I'll reply again here to let you know when I post the pic on the community page. Thanks for commenting 👍 and subscribing!

      @@GFD472 I don't believe it is being discontinued but more than likely everything will resemble TYM as far as body cladding and the like. Originally they weren't going to lose the Branson name. In the last week they decided to lose the name and brand everything TYM starting next model year is what we have been told. It will cause some uproar with the dealers I am sure simply because of the unit distribution. Time will tell!

      @CornucopiaFarmstead  Před rokem +1

      I know that the change will happen and more than likely the lineup will stay only having badging along with some minor cosmetic changes. TYM wanted the license to use Cummins engines, they could only do that by purchasing the Kukje brand which is the parent of Branson. It will all work out , all parties will gain with likely only the dealers losing.

    You mentioned the price of the Deere but didn't hear you mention the price of the Branson. Would you mind sharing that with us?

    • @CornucopiaFarmstead
      @CornucopiaFarmstead  Před rokem

      Yes that's right. I didn't mention the price we paid as the Branson dealers vary greatly on price. At the time we purchased ours it was $22,000 with the loader and R1 tires. When we purchased the price varied from 20k to 24k depending on with or without loader and type of tires. One of the factors that helped us to go ahead and make the purchase was the pandemic coming on. Units were already behind schedule and would continue to get further behind. As of today 11-23-22 Branson has over 9000 units pre-sold that are yet to be delivered. They can't build them fast enough to supply dealers. The compact tractors are the largest in demand right now but they still have problems getting some major components from Korea. A friend of ours is over logistics from Korea to the US then to dealers. The sub compact units are readily available. They will most likely offer many incentives to move the remaining units branded Branson then will have to struggle to build the TYM branded units.

    • @CornucopiaFarmstead
      @CornucopiaFarmstead  Před rokem

      We purchased this in a package just before Covid came to light and prices were still pretty competitive. The actual shown price was I believe 22k, but was a package deal. I think by the time you broke it down the tractor was 19,700 and they charged full price for the implements along with a 20 foot trailer. We financed right at 27k for everything, even at that was still many many thousand below kubota JD and yanmar. We looked at all of them and settled with the Branson because of weight, engine manufacturing, power and build quality. I deal with Case, JD, Kubota, Same, ASV almost daily through my work at the tree nursery. Often times they have struggles like other dealers and none stands out more than another that has better service or quality of work, including Branson. In my opinion no matter how much money you spend it is a sale to them. People are people and every now and then you'll find a good Joe here or there. I know who my good vendors and people are at the places I have to work with and I stick with them. Do your research and make your decisions then because you'll need them at some point one way or another but at the least don't settle for less on your unit, get the most you can or you'll eventually regret it. Hope this helps. Thanks for commenting, Ric.

      I hate it! I hate the position on where it is located most, also the shape of it mostly in the corners. The parking brake handle is an odd pull also between the seat and the range lever. Makes it very hard to grasp if you have anything around your arm at all. I suppose people who are very slender wouldn't have a problem but my watch even grabs it! There are several other small things but my biggest complaint is the throttle peddle and the e brake handle, they need some changing for sure! Everything else I can work with! Do you own or use a Branson, what are your thoughts on them in general. I know they will be making chages after 2023 but they will stay the same through the 23 model year.Thanks for commenting.
