Keynotes by Matthew Le Merle, Tess Hau and Emilia Gonzales
Matthew Le Merle is the Managing Partner at Fifth Era Fund and Keiretsu Forum - 180 VC investments in 2018 alone. Matthew leads consortium of the Blockchain Coinvestors (backed Coinbase, Ripple, Kraken, Circle etc.). He is also a board member at BitBull Capital, Bitwise Asset Management, Chair of Securitize (Europe). Matthew was a General Partner at Monitor Group. He has MBA from Stanford, teaches at the Sinularity University.
Tess Hau is the General Partner at Tess Ventures. In 2019, she was recognized by Thrive Global as one of the “Women to Watch”. Tess is an internationally recognized champion of health issues, women’s leadership, and diversity initiatives relating to gender and race.
Emi Gonzalenz is a Principal at Joyance Partners. Prior to Joyance, she founded and sold a diabetes digital health company, worked for Half Court Ventures, an early-stage VC firm, and was the Director for Harvard’s premier i3 Innovation Challenge. She graduated Harvard College and co-authored two publications related to cardiovascular regeneration in Circulation Research and Nature Communications. At Joyance, she focuses on biotech and healthcare investments. Emi is passionate about health equity and helping founders accomplish their goals.
