This tank is placed in our living room. It always in front of my eyes but somehow I managed to neglect it in the recent time. Mostly I just used it to grow plants or try out new ideas.
The water is not topped because I prefer shallow tanks and the next one (which will replace this) will be even more shallow.
I trim the plants in every two weeks because they grow fast.
The ONF light above it just rocks. Stay tuned, a preview video is coming soon.

Very entertaining and informative video as always! That was the first time I see someone completely uproot and replant the top of the plant instead of just snipping off the top as a maintenance. But the result is indeed prettier. Love Vincent cameo in this, always made my day :)

These are some fantastic tips, I kept wondering how to best sink my plants/bunch them up easily and stop the fish from pulling them out and I have a ton of ceramic rings, such a smart idea. I had read about using PVC pipe but I didn't want to run out to the hardware store to give it a try.

@@TheCineScaper Hello, I was wondering if you could explain why your tds is so high with all the plants? Should they be removing a lot of it? 50% water change every week in a heavily planted tank seems strange.

Insanely creative, but i wonder wat happens in long term? Maybe green cloudy in water appears?
With proper maintenance and a balanced ecosystem like this, even for a very long term (more than a few years), green cloudy water will probably almost never appear. Tanks are always more stable after they matured and well established.

I wish I had thought to use ceramic rings. My dwarf hairgrass likes to pull up when I’m maintaining the tank, and it’s annoying.

Cool videos! I always learn a lot. However, i do not understand why if you spend a lot of money in your co2, aquarium, plants, ADA soils and then use a plastic crappy card to clean the glass? Those plastic cards never worked for me...

Recently found your channel and have been watching all your videos. This tank is so lovely and large. would you be able to house a beta fish in with these tank mates? I have seen them kept with shrimp and smaller fish before, and I was wondering if a tank such as this size would be sufficient for them to feel okay with that many other fish. Thank you!
