    If reality is a remembered moment of a dynamic universe, then the reality we are discussing is a time delay virtual memory.

    Excellent summary of where we're (or rather, He and his colleagues) are at.
    Fascinating to see how raw mathematics is letting us see things our biology won't let us innately understand.

    So one of the things that might be helpful is to consider the neurological system and the virtual photons involved, when considering measuring system in the first place, one possible school of thought is that you don’t actually collapse the wave function as an observer what you actually do is as the wave function passes over you you generate and glean, derive the information that was able to be hologramed by your observing system, the intentful effect of your observing system. That measurement can never be objective. This is due to the virtual photons in the brain that interpret the environment in a semi rigorous way. It seems that until we have a better understanding of the observational system and the effect it has on the environment. For instance, rather than a pilot wave, there could be a trail. This trail is destroyed by the active intent, observing the system. This would explain the collapse problem. And resolve it actually.

    If my dog Max (a black Cane Corso) is standing behind me and no one else is around to observe him then he is not what he appears to me when I observe him. Now if I pet him while he is behind me I can feel his shape, his fur, his muscles, his wet nose. Even hear him bark. If I'm not observing him he should be in waves correct? I guess what my question is what about sound and touch when something isn't being "observed". Thanks!

    • @kwijung
      @kwijung Před 8 lety

      +JAE SIN DnB Touching him counts as observing. Plus it's a question of whether the dog himself is an observer. Almost certainly he is. He becomes entangled with the ''virtual'' reality around him when he observes it, and you become entangled with him when you interact with him. Or with anything he has observed, for that matter. This is the sense in which Susskind says information spreads like a contagion.

      Every air molecule, every photon, every gravity influence, every interaction with whatever including itself is an interaction and collapses the wave function, or leads to decoherence. Don't worry, you dog is a dog also when you are not looking.

      observation comes from the collapse of the the Schrödinger wave function into a biological system. The theme goes as follows: a wave (360 degree horizon) propagates off of a star, it travels thousands of light years until it hits earth, where the wave commutes with a pair of amateur astronomers looking through a small telescope. The wave passes over the body which interacts with the field, and that field is then catalyzed into intentful effect toward stasis by the astronomers. the single cells that make up the astronomers all respond to the slightest and most subtle energy shifts (i.e. hypothetically the first bacteria with dark spots who had to adjust their position in the water to accommodate the pigmentation effects). Nothing is homogeneous and isotropic, so nothing is the "same". this would lead one to understand that since things are not the same nor can be the same (Pauli Exclusion principle), the reaction from the system will also not be the same. and so reaction in this universe would be unique and this would be traceable back to the small speck of dust on the CMB that you could point to and say, "That's my persons origin", which explains why things happen the way they do. Either way, to answer your question, as soon as an organism receives the information from the differential geometry of the universe and catalyzes it into intentful effect, it becomes an observation.

    Also, keep in mind in hilbert space does not factorize in the gravitational field so it’s all differential geometry. The notion of a horizon is purely imaginary from the observer.

    A theory of the physical manifestation of the Fine Structure constant is proposed according to which the Fine Structure Constant represents the energy of the local Solar Circuit. This energy is conserved while it vacillates between the Sun and the Local Interstellar Cloud (LIC). One of the features of this theory is that it naturally yields the observed Solar Cycle. Another feature of the Solar Circuit is the ability to predict the Solar Cycle of any given Star.
    The Solar Circuit can be extrapolated into the Cosmic Arena “based on the assumption that the basic properties of plasmas are the same everywhere.” One of the features of this theory is that Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation is one facet of a cosmic circuit, an extension of the previously postulated Solar Circuit. Extrapolating a Cosmic Circuit from the sum of all Solar Circuits represents the physical manifestation of Dark Energy. The Theory proposed offers the ability to convert the energy of the Cosmic Circuit- dark energy- from an inexplicable phenomenon into a tangible indicator for space weather!

    With no viable theory of gravitation and its connections with entanglement, any discussion on early universe is quite meaningless. Susskind's approach is mainly classical and some QM, but Maldecena would like to include QC.
    The role played by QC seems central to any deep understanding of BH and the universe as a whole. Even the phase transition of non-life matter into life seems driven by QC.
