I’m 43 years old and have watched a ton of football at all levels though the years and was a pretty good hard hitting safety in high school. Hand to God, I have never before or since Sean Taylor seen ANYONE just accelerate and explode on contact. It’s mind blowing. Like a heat seeking missile!!! Everyone argues who was the best safety of all time... Sean, Ed Reed, Troy P, Ronnie Lott are usually the argument. But whoever you think was or is the best, I don’t think many would argue that Sean was a complete freak with size speed power instinct... and had he not been tragically taken from us so young, he definitely would have been so fun to watch. RIP Sean Taylor!!!!😢😢🙏🙏🙏
He closes and hits like Polamalu, he ballhawks like Ed Reed, his ball skills are sort of like if Randy Moss was born to play defense... We tend to exaggerate those who passed away too soon, but this guy was a great talent.

Just a guy with super human physicality who no doubt was born to play exactly where he did… even watching him at Miami, you could clearly see this kid was an exceptional talent and one unbelievable athlete. And you could tell he absolutely loved what he did, because he was really good at it….💯💯💯

Fr, I’d say the same for his college highlights too. If he wasn’t tragically taken away, he’d be undisputedly be the best Safety all time, if not the best football player overall of all time 💯🔥🙏🏻

I came out of high school the same year as Sean Taylor in Miami and he's one of my favorites of all time.
I would describe his style of play as “Ruthless”
That’s me at 3:51 next to Sean Taylor #1..Hannah#2..We loss a heart breaker 17-15 to Pace in the FHSAA 2A Regional Semifinals Playoffs in 1999.That was my senior year we finished 10-2
