I got it when it came out. Super versatile flashlight. And don't worry about lumens. There's plenty. I rarely use Turbo mode since on high does the job perfectly. And like the reviewer said one of the best things about this light is that you can stay on high mode without it getting hot or thermal regulation kicking in until the battery is flat!(on high) On turbo you can go 4-5min before thermal regulation kicks in(will reduce to high mode). It's a thrower BUT with an excellent flood too! That's what makes it so versatile. Highly recommended if you are looking for a tactical but without the shortcomings of other tactical flashlights. And takes two types of batteries.
This is definitely my next light. I have a Pioneman K45-C, it is an XHP70 Light. It floods so much. This would be a better throwing flooding hybrid light.
I picked one up a couple weeks ago. Actually just took it to Waverly Hills Sanatorium 👻 I love the C8L! I can see every bit of a 1/4 mile on Turbo no problem.
That’s a sharp looking light!! I like their new designs getting a little more modern with those nice fins, maybe they will update the sc31 pro that would be nice, great video as always man👍 great content keep up the good work.
It throws pretty good for an OP Reflector👍👍 Always get the Battery Kits with pretty much everything You can never have too many batteries Especially when you use them outdoors and with most kits of the smaller lights that hold one 18650 or 26650 being very affordable and not much difference in price if you get em without
I have this light a really like it. I would like it a lot more if it had as many lumens as advertised. I really like how it's got a pretty good hotspot and still had enough spill to navigate by. It seems to hold turbo for a long time and not get overly hot. I use it in combination with my headlights and can pretty much see pretty well in the woods. I'm still looking for a one light solution and seen several lights on this channel that look promising. I suspect it might lead down the same path as looking for the ultimate EDC knife. I been looking for it for over forty years and still haven't found it. LOL

I tested around 2500lm actual, and on paper I believe the sofirn c8g throws around 564m and C8L is around 531m. I'm pretty sure convoy has some osram versions that probably throws a little farther.

18650 battery store is one he does a lot, and also where most of us get them from. I have personally sued them for years and they’re good. I know he has got some from Aliexpress but I think by far mostly 18650… or at least that’s what it seems like… either way. 18650 is an excellent store.
You may be trading throw for flood with some of the other models. All depends on your use case or if you're shopping by lumens/lux/candela. If you want a "floody-thrower" the C8L is for you.

With the dedomed (HI) 50d and orange peel reflector that’s got a pretty nice looking beam. Good balance of throw and flood.

Nice light but not for $45 because for a little more you can get more lumens with the other models.
