Great man I have been trying to figure this out. Everyone always says use a pulley but no one shows how. Now I just need to find out where to get one

Awesome video! I've been working way to hard to hang my food bag using other methods especially on group trips. Gonna try this out next time.

Good Video. I enjoyed the quick tutorial. I climb so am familiar with 3:1 but haven't used it for food safety before. I've used other methods, but I've found at the BWCA it's almost impossible due to mostly pine's with broken and short lower branches. It's a bad berry season and there has been a lot of bear encounters this year so I need to be extra vigilant this year. I might try and do a 3:1 but using two trees to get the bag away from the first tree and pulling it up/out. I figure this will be the only good option in the BWCA at times, or so I've found. Can I request/recommend you also do a video that way too? I hope more people find your vid since nobody else has a vid like yours yet. Thanks

I rarely canoe in areas that have trees suitable to use for hanging food stuff. I put mine well away from game trails and my camp. In 40 years never had a problem.
