I can’t tell you how much I enjoy this podcast. I could listen to Mark F talk Mavs for the rest of my life. Everything is well thought out…the topics, order, camera angles, highlights and of course the cool set! Such a vibe and great energy between the two hosts.

Dang I didn’t even consider how much Klay will help the Mavs horrendous free throw shooting
If the Mavericks put Klay in a corner and do nothing to maximize his ability to put more movement into the offense, they must think Luka and Kyrie cannot improve the way they run the offense. The lesson from the loss in five games against the Celtics is that Luka has to protect his health and Kyrie needs to get more rest so, they can be as close to 100% in the playoffs. At 25 Luka still thinks he is impervious to major injury, but coach Kidd needs to start managing Luka minutes to preserve his health. Luka and Kyrie need to reduce their minutes to under 35 minutes per game. In the second and third quarters Luka and Kyrie need to rotate as point guard so the stronger defenders in Grimes and Marshall can sub in to wear out the opponent's stars. Also, a guaranteed third ballhandler like Spence Dinwiddie would help Luka and Kyrie to play less minutes in the regular season to preserve a higher energy level for Luka and Kyrie to have in the fourth quarters.

Reminder, Boston was #1 seed, home-court adv, blowing out teams, ending series early. So their stars were rested.
Mavs were the away team the entire post season. After the trade, they were struggling to make up ground for their sub par 1st half of the season.
So DAL should be in 1st, 2cnd or 3rd place from the beginning next season, in the West. Luka/Kyrie should have a lighter load by default. We'll see.

They’ll move him from the corner to the wing with a pick, fake the pass, then slide the picker to the basket. Dallas should have numerous opportunities for back picks that lead to layups just based on Thompson and Kyrie’s gravity. If we make shots early on Jose cuts will be open all night. It will be a fun game of chess every game with those three on the court. The three big guys (lively, PJ and Gafford) should take endless advantage of this.

We definitely improved this offseason. Was sad to see DJJ and Josh go but we brought in great pieces to help make the team better. Want to see Kidd implement more motion action for Klay/shooters. Also want to see Luka off ball more for a quicker offensive pace
I was thinking the same thing this morning. Rick Carlisle once spoke about humbling himself to take advice from players. He was talking about Kidd. Ironically, Kidd needs to listen to Klay. WE NEED TO MOVE THE BALL MORE!!! If Klay and others prove they can hit open shots, Luka and Ky will pass more.

Not sure TWolves will be top 4, losing Jayden McDaniels. He was literally their best player in the WCF on Def and Off. I think Grizzlies, with return of Ja, might be in the top 5. I know Mavs should be top 3 from the get-go, if losing Jones is fixed asap

@@dannysmuzic1807 Yeah I feel you. It gets so hard to follow all the signings and trades. There’s a page on the NBA website where there’s a section for each team and it shows departures, additions, and signings. It’s really helpful and easy, I can’t link it in YT but you should try and find it!
