Thanks for watching! For more mega dump finds with Tim ⭐️ czcams.com/video/Bjsf6yjovKA/video.htmlsi=9Z3MPjXltHcNFW-h ⭐️
What a lovely man your dad is! Can’t wait to see you man cave shed all finished and organized. Very cool you and your dad can build stuff like that!
I’m a lucky guy! He refuses to help me with my mega heavy patio though 😂
Simon your Esso can shelf is ingenious. You are so creative. Love your shed and your Dad is brilliant. Thank you so much for this fantastic video. Cheers.
Thanks so much LS 👍🏻🐾🧡I’m lucky to have him
So much loveliness crammed into one episode!!! ❤ My heart can’t cope!!
🧡🧡🧡
Can’t wait to see the Mudcave once completed! You must be excited to get all your treasures in there.
I am. Cheers Cory 👍🏻🐾🧡
Corona was the fizzy pop you could get delivered by the pop man wasn’t it?
So cool watching the finds get older as he dug down. Clever display!
Thanks Si, another fab video.
Yes, the pop man came round weekly and we had pop with our Sunday lunch - Corona came in various flavours: lemonade, limeade, cherryade, cream soda - mind you, that was over 60 years ago!
Cheers Eliza! Very interesting 👍🏻🐾🧡
Yep , as kids , we would go down our road asking the locals if we could have the empties , and then take them back to the local shop and get the thruppence refund on the bottle . lol you could get loads of sweets for thruppence in those days.
I'm 70 so yes, a long time ago . @@silevee
Awww matching boo boo's . Love this, Our dads are our heroes from childhood to forever 🥰🥰
Very true!!
Nice to see Steve, hope he’s doing good
He is Patty 👍🏻🐾🧡
Your relationship with your dad is beautiful . I was a dads girl and he taught me diy, took me fishing and we watched footy matches together at the local ground , not to mention stuff about cars , which has saved me loads of money over the years . He's not with us now , : ( and i really miss him not being here to guide me through the jobs i'm not sure of . Make the most of being with your dad , it's the best time of your life, with loads of happy memories. x
Well said Sue and spot on👍🏻🐾🧡
Loved meeting your Dad and seeing photos of wee Simon with your wheelbarrow. Can't wait to see the mudcave finsihed.
Cheers Mudlover 👍🏻🐾🧡
I always enjoy watching you and Tim dig in old dumps. This one, weirdly, brought back fond memories of me exploring old sheds, lean tos, and fire pits at both my grandparents, and great grandparents houses back in the early 80s, when I was a tiny treasure hunter aged under 10. 😂 Though less snakes and spiders at your dump dig. Clearly an Aussie thing.😂
And I LOVED the upcycle in this video. Utterly brilliant idea, well thought out, and perfectly executed. As someone who also tries to use and re-use absolutely everything in my art and everyday life, it's always awesome seeing I'm not alone in my passion for zero waste creativity. ❤
Well said! I’d love to see your work! 👍🏻🐾🧡
@@Sifinds Thanks, my profile pic is some of my work. 😊 It's made from gem stone beads from 2nd hand jewellery (some broken) that I buy from charity op shops. This piece was bought by a lovely lady over in Florida, USA. And, if you are curious and not just being polite 🤣 I have a very basic video on what I do on my channel, and can be found on instagram with same name.
@@craftilyrecycled awesome. Will check it out 👍🏻🐾🧡
I think this is going to be one of my favorite videos. You found so much cool stuff at that dump and then the way you transformed the Esso can... You are like a magician! And I love that your dad was in this video and how great the man cave is coming along. Can't wait to see it done and all the cool stuff you're going to make in it. Xo
Thanks so much 👍🏻🐾🧡
How cool to dig to have your own mud cave..and work with your dad..kind of nice to meet your family..awesome finds, especially the embossed bottles..and an epic upcycle! Wow! hello to Daisy and Nelson.
Cheers Jo. The cats say hi!
I love seeing your Dad working with you. I lost my Dad 18 years ago today. He was my fishing buddy and had me helping make improvements to my parents home even after I was married and had 3 kids. I have a brother but was never interested helping like I was. Your Dad appears to be a wonderful man. ❤️🇺🇸
Cheers Cheryl, yes he’s an inspiration
As someone who built houses it was interesting to see how differently it is done in the UK from here in the US. I love that you used reclaimed materials. Thank you Simon!
Well it’s just an outhouse / shed really. Lots of ways to make one I reckon 👍🏻🐾🧡
Pretty sure Findlater is pronounced Finndlatter, sadly! Also, the wee robin was hoping for you to throw it worms you found while digging. If you give them some, they'll stick around and come really close to you, they're gallus wee birds :) Big love from Scotland, as always. Jen. Edit: Just finished the video, love that upcycle, your ability to be able to repurpose the weirdest things is making me very envious!
Cheers Jonny. I believe the Robin is Englands nation bird. They are super friendly and cute, unlike many English 😂
How good is your Dad. He brought tears to my eyes. He is a treasure. I lost my beloved Dad two years ago and I miss him terribly. That Mud Cave is looking AWESOME. I always love your upcycles. So clever. Sending big big cuddles and scratches to Nelly and Daisy, the stars of the show 😹xx Teresa ❤🇦🇺
What a lovely gentle gent your Father is, 😊😊
He’s a legend
Simon you indeed are a magical builder. Who would of thought of that except for you. No task to small nor to hard.
It took a while, but got there in the end, what with everything else I do x thanks for your support 👍🏻🐾🥲
Love your Dad's sense of humor!
Me too! 👍🏻🐾🧡
Corona sold large bottle of soft drink, door to door, until at least the 1970s. Their cream soda was a particular favourite of mine.
Cool!!
How adorable is your dad😊
He’s wonderful
The upcycle is epic. Well done Si! Your Dad is so adorable. I miss Steve with the H3
Love always seeing Nelly & Daisy. Thanks for making my Sunday 😁
Aw my pleasure Thekla👍🏻🐾🧡
Great to meet dad
I still have one of those meat grinders/mincers that my parents had from 40 years ago. LOL Love your dad!!
Thanks for the birds, a pretty little robin, and some more forrest ones singing.😍
Daisy and Nelson are so natural lovely cats😘
And the ESSO artbox so creative, nice one.
(😅awfull screwing tecnique, only on camera bottle capping😇)
Haha Ruth 😂
That was so nice of your dad to come over and give you a hand. You guys did a fabulous job doing your little mud shed up!! Love how you made the Esso cannister into a piece of art that was so cool. The way you used the bicycle pedal gives me some ideas!! It's going to be great once it's all finished then you could put all your treasures in there from your mud larking!!
Great video. Si!!🌟🌟
That’s a brilliant upcycle!! I loved it! Only you! You’re delightful to watch and so clever at everything you do! Love all your videos, ideas, music, humor and creations. And love your videos with sweet Nicola 😉. You two have a special bond. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Thanks Mary! 👍🏻🐾🧡
What a nice Dad. The picture of you with your little wheel barrow look at how he adores you. Better thank God many don't have that. I did my Dad was the best.
Cheers. I don’t take that for granted x
You are a mad scientist! But I love it. I enjoy your creativity and mudlarking
Very talented artist you are, your Dad was lovely guy. Great video Si.
Cheers Mudlover 👍🏻🐾🧡
You are such an incredible artist and quite the engineer as well. I cannot even imagine how your brain works but I am so glad you share it with us. As an art lover, I feel lucky I found your channel and can watch some of your work.
Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
It's a sponge mincer
I am sitting here at my table watching this video my thoughts 💭 are of how you and your dad we’re enjoying building this MudCave . You are both so sweet toward each other as you put a bandaid on your dad’s thumb 👍🏻. What a beautiful scene that took my breath away! After he had finished you hugged him for all he helped he gave!
Si I was very touched with you and your dad please cherish these moments with him. My dad passed away and I miss him so much. I have only a few great memories with him that will stay with me forever.
You did a fantastic work on the gas can, I wasn’t sure what you would do to up cycle this rusty, torn and tattered thing! I am in awe of your skills. What a wonderful mindset you have with all of your creations!
Steve is a great friend to help you with the roof it’s hard work, but he sure did it. Kudos to all hands on deck! Blessings to all of you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Thanks so much Susan, I will cherish Dad x
Great upcycle. Nice to see your father, the whole video was wonderful.
Aw thanks Kath 👍🏻🐾🧡
The older cans were thicker and lasted longer. Now every can is thinner.
Welcome Si and hello Tim. Looking forward to this!
Alright Emma! 👍🏻🐾🧡
My grandma had one of those meat grinder! So cool! That bottle Tim gave you with that beautiful debossing is beautiful!!!
Lovely wasn’t it?

Excellent job on your building, My Grandfather was an A plus Carpenter he built 3 houses and my Moms general store, which all still lived in today. But unfortunately it stopped with him, I know nothing about carpentry.:( Nice to see your Dad helping you out. I hope Steve is well now!
Cheers Sherry yes Steve is doing very well thank you 👍🏻🐾🧡
That is well done, Si. Great upcycle!
It’s Steve’s Glorious Hair! Once thought to never be seen again!

😂 Where there is a will there is a way. Need to put a string on that and just drag it behind you😊
Hi Si! I know that this is an older video but I just came across it now. Believe it or not I always thought that Tim was your dad! Thanks for introducing us to your family and more of your history today.
I really loved seeing that beautiful little bird with its bright colors, especially against the green branches. Thank you for sharing that, as well as the lovely woodpecker sounds.
What a handsome Dad you have and you didn’t fall far from the tree. Covid lockdown was awful but you built a mud cave and I started painting landscapes again. Some good came out of it.
Aw thanks so much JoEllen. I’m blushing ☺️ Yes some good did happen x
The mudcave is superb!
Cheers Mudlover 👍🏻🐾🧡
Fun dig! I love sitting in my chair and going on adventures with you. Thanks for the history and smiles!
Cheers Hazel👍🏻🐾🧡
Hi Si, luv your vids, but especially the upcycles. You are so talented!! The MudCave is so cool!!

Corona pop was all the rage in the 60s, used to deliver it once per week when I was about 8, that's 61 years ago 👍
Absolutely dazzled by that upcycle. You have outdone yourself. 🤩
Cheers Kerrie👍🏻🐾🧡
Ingenious hun you never cease to amaze me with your up cycling 😊
Cheers Mudlover 👍🏻🐾🧡
Super video. Loved the shed construction with your Dad! Special times. xx

Hey Si,
Your a lucky lucky man to have spent so much excellent time with your old man and have the photos and videos to cherish I wasn’t so lucky but made up for it twice and three times over with my three sons who are now age 24,25 and 26 a day doesn’t go by that I realise how lucky I am. Again cherish your time with your dad you can see just how proud of you he is.
Wise words Nick 👍🏻🐾🧡
Making memories with your dad is the best!!! Even though I was his daughter, my dad taught me all this stuff also. I was welding when I was 12 years old. Those are times that I cherish to this day!! And at 89 years old he is still teaching me things! And what the heck did you call that band-aid you gave your dad for his cut?? Great video Si !
Lol. It’s a plaster 🩹
@@Sifinds
Your Dad is just wonderful!
He is!
Love the b-roll shot of the moss-covered boot! This is a fantastic video. Your father is a lovely man. The rotating Esso can curio shelf is an ingenious assemblage.
Cheers Mudlover 👍🏻🐾🧡
Cool video. Awww the cats. ❤
The mudcave is shaping up great. That's so touching your Dad taking you along and still passing on his skills. My husband's Dad did the same with him. Saves us $$$. Don't have to call a handyman. He has no one too pass it on to. We have two girls and neither one of them are interested. They're in their mid 20s. C'est la vie.
Aw that’s kinda sad, maybe the grandkids will learn some skills x
I love that your cats obviously love you.
The feeling is mutual 🐈⬛ 🐈
Your upcycle is so well done. So clever, everything fit together perfectly, impressive. 👏👏👏
Thanks so much Gigi. Miss you x😊
Hi Mudlover,Glad to see you.Wishing you find something great.blessings

Cheers Mudlover! 👍🏻🐾🧡
You are just too clever ❤what a lovely dad you have too
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
Hi Si! Great to see you on a Sunday morning.😊
Think we need to have a “Shed Off” competition Si 😋 also my wee Dusty Cat got very interested in the telly when she heard Nelly meowing 🐈⬛ x fee (Scotland)
Haha we do!
Oh and your oil can is actually a petrol tin! They were widely used before WW2 when everyone switched over to the much more practical jerrycan based on the German design.
Great Vid Thanks.Just wanted to let you know I have a cat named Maggie Pie and she is the Joy of my life So when i see how much you love your animals i wanted you to be aware of boards with nails or screw .Do NOT leave them sticking Upwards Ever. They can step on them and hurt for weeks ,their little paws I know because i am a carpenter and when i bring used lumber home I place all boards nails DOWN until it gets used.I'm sure you already know this but i thought i would mention this as i love all animals as well Jim..M from ONT.
That brass piece looks like a top to a container. The noisy woodpecker 😊. I find that Corona bottle so pretty, and the little triangular one also. 😂, What a pucker Tim. Oh, how wonderful, father and sun working together. Sweet memories. Great to see Steve. Another awesome upcycle Si 👍
Cheers Coni👍🏻🐾🧡🧡

I think you made that upcycle look easier than it must have been. You are a genius figuring out how to incorporate the pedal to rotate it. Well done 👏 😀
Thanks so much Claire 👍🏻🐾🧡
Esso cabinet looks great
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡
I recognized the meat grinder right away. When my Grandparents came to America and during the depression my Grandfather would grind meat and make homemade German Sausage. He would sell it door to door. We still have the grinder and used to have a get together every Oct 21st to celebrate my Dads birthday by making sausage. We still do it every 5 years or so. My Dad has been gone for 26 years.
That’s the sweetest story!
Brilliant Si.Some more nice finds.👍
Cheers Mudlover 👍🏻🐾🧡
That's a wonderful cabinet you made Simon! I certainly didn't imagine it the way you did.
Cheers Mudlover👍🏻🐾🧡

Thanks so much👍🏻🐾🧡
You really are creative Si!
Your dad had a great time by the look of it as well.
Steve needs a hair cut. Haha.
Nothing could have been done without cat supervision.
Yes we both enjoyed the build!
I can’t believe how you ‘saved’ that Essa oil can!! I saw rusted junk that shoulda hone back in the tip! Can’t wait to see how quickly you fill up the Mud Cave lol.
Delighted to see Rosie! 🥰
Haha. She now speaks!
