My ENT prescribed me Ginkgo Biloba and my house doctor Magnesium. So I am taking both.
I have the feeling my Tinnitus has improved a bit since then, something between 10% and 20%, depending on the days and hours. So now I wouldn't know which one of both it helped me.

I have had tinnitus for several years. I would describe it as a high frequency sound, almost like crickets chirping in the night. It was caused by shooting my handgun without hearing protection. Three days ago, a SECOND, lower pitch sound started in my left ear only, which has caused me great distress. This was not brought on by anything obvious. I just started noticing it. Ben, thank you for all you do in trying to help people with this ailment. It really can be debilitating to some people. For those suffering, you are not alone. I wish you all the very best.

ARCHES TINNITUS FORMULA with Gingko Max 26/7 has worked for me. Started about 3 years ago. First tried a combination of Niacin, Lecithin, and B1 which lowered the ringing, but the Niacin caused some flushing of the skin. Then used Helichrysum, an essential oil, but I didn't dilute it, got a skin irritation around the mastoid bone area. Then I found Arches. Within a half hour it lowered the ringing to a hiss. Continued taking 1 capsule every 8 hours for around 3 months. Then the hissing increased. So I backed off. Went to once every 24 hours, for about 4 months. Currently am taking it once a week. It has also helped my vision immensely.

Vinpocetine, made from a small flower from Eastern Europe or Russia has helped me to quiet down the buzzing. Much better.
Originally, my tinnitus was two very dissonant notes: high F Sharp and G sounded together.
    Eeeek.... really bad. 😞
Now my tinnitus is down to a soft fuzzy noise. In some situations, I can't even hear it.

I found in my case, the ringing in the ears is caused by a toxic HVAC system. When I turn on my A/C I am pulling in the air from the two apartments above me. If, I don't turn on the air, the ringing is 75% less. It is horrible, the previous tenants were heavy smokers, the lady above me uses Fragrance plug-ins. It is extremely loud level of ringing in both ears, these techniques do nothing for me. I am being poisoned, by the running of the HVAC system. I developed Tinnitus this July after my sister had a traumatic experience. I went to a ENT and no hearing loss at all. I went to a chiropractor took rays and I have arthritis in my neck and it’s straight back not curved. When I move my neck side to side I hear tinnitus louder and when I touch my sinuses and temples it gets loud. Not one doctor knows what is wrong. It’s very frustrating and annoying. Nothing is helping so far. I’m also using sound therapy.

Studies have shown salicylates to be associated with tinnitus. Some of the ingredients in these products contain salicylates so perhaps they might make things worse.
This being said I wonder if trying to keep the salycilates level in tissues low could be a good idea. From what I read following a low salicylate diet helps for that, as well as boosting glutathione. For boosting glutathione something like broccoli sprouts might work. Also keeping the body in an alkaline state is said to help get salicylates out of the cells.
I also read a study saying Acetyl-L carnitine has a positive effect on tinnitus.

The MNDAr the ionotropic transporter system of Glutamate, this receptor needs a blockaid, like Ketamine an antagonist inhibitor which binds to the NMDAr to slow transmission of Glutmate. The problem is when people have Tinnitus is a dysfunctional NMDAr and the reabsorption of Glutamate inhibited.

Keep using sound therapy and try adding more management tools as needed. CBT and TRT are very effective. I also eat garlic 🧄 daily...something about the sulphur. And drink alot of water. Look out for silica and silicone dioxide these will make it spike! Crappy preservatives.👀 Gotta bounce... later.

Dr. Thompson, I found a peer reviewed journal article from Europe of a study which was double blind and placebo controlled, which showed statistical significance for reduced tinnitus for the patients taking the supplements in the study. I've tried posting the link twice, but my comment is removed within seconds after posting. I'm a subscriber of your channel and tinnitus sufferer and do not have an agenda for or against supplements. I'm just trying to share what appears to be legitimate research, which is hard to find. If you know of a way I can share it with you and/or your subscribers, please let me know.
