I have had tinnitus for several years. I would describe it as a high frequency sound, almost like crickets chirping in the night. It was caused by shooting my handgun without hearing protection. Three days ago, a SECOND, lower pitch sound started in my left ear only, which has caused me great distress. This was not brought on by anything obvious. I just started noticing it. Ben, thank you for all you do in trying to help people with this ailment. It really can be debilitating to some people. For those suffering, you are not alone. I wish you all the very best.

ARCHES TINNITUS FORMULA with Gingko Max 26/7 has worked for me. Started about 3 years ago. First tried a combination of Niacin, Lecithin, and B1 which lowered the ringing, but the Niacin caused some flushing of the skin. Then used Helichrysum, an essential oil, but I didn't dilute it, got a skin irritation around the mastoid bone area. Then I found Arches. Within a half hour it lowered the ringing to a hiss. Continued taking 1 capsule every 8 hours for around 3 months. Then the hissing increased. So I backed off. Went to once every 24 hours, for about 4 months. Currently am taking it once a week. It has also helped my vision immensely.

I found in my case, the ringing in the ears is caused by a toxic HVAC system. When I turn on my A/C I am pulling in the air from the two apartments above me. If, I don't turn on the air, the ringing is 75% less. It is horrible, the previous tenants were heavy smokers, the lady above me uses Fragrance plug-ins. It is extremely loud level of ringing in both ears, these techniques do nothing for me. I am being poisoned, by the running of the HVAC system. I asked the neighbor twice, above me to stop using the fragrance. She has not stopped, I can hardly function because the ringing is so loud.
An ENT doc suggested I try gingko biloba when my tinnitus came back loud (spikes) and I was struggling. He said that some of his patients have their tinnitus improved after taking them. They don’t work for me at all. What work for me are walks, meditation and craniosacral therapy (this is for relaxing). I play rain sound at night but sometimes I’m ok without. In a nutshell, mindset and relaxation are important.

I think there are so many NIH studies, and some of them do support the supplements, and there are so many causes of Tinnitus that it can be difficult to get good results on studies (there are too many variables and causes). What I think is that people could buy one bottle of each, give them month. If they haven't helped in the 30 days, then discontinue and try something else.

Studies have shown salicylates to be associated with tinnitus. Some of the ingredients in these products contain salicylates so perhaps they might make things worse. This being said I wonder if trying to keep the salycilates level in tissues low could be a good idea. From what I read following a low salicylate diet helps for that, as well as boosting glutathione. For boosting glutathione something like broccoli sprouts might work. Also keeping the body in an alkaline state is said to help get salicylates out of the cells. I also read a study saying Acetyl-L carnitine has a positive effect on tinnitus.

Dr. Thompson, I found a peer reviewed journal article from Europe of a study which was double blind and placebo controlled, which showed statistical significance for reduced tinnitus for the patients taking the supplements in the study. I've tried posting the link twice, but my comment is removed within seconds after posting. I'm a subscriber of your channel and tinnitus sufferer and do not have an agenda for or against supplements. I'm just trying to share what appears to be legitimate research, which is hard to find. If you know of a way I can share it with you and/or your subscribers, please let me know.
The ONLY Thing I have found that works for me, But is only temporary is finding the same frequency of the ringing. This cancels out the tinnitus as long as I listen to it. But as soon as I stop listening my tinnitus always comes back.

What you eat also helps. Try not to eat dried fruit or anything with too much salts in it.
Be blessed 😇.
Miss Monique 🙂🌷💗🕊️
I agree the sound therapy is going to get the nerve sending the right sound messages.
After all this ringing is our perceived silence.
Ben Thomson, very honest advise to the people suffering from tinnitus not to take certain supplements for tinnitus .
Thanks for your comment, Venkata. Really appreciate it. So glad that it was helpful! Be well.
Is guided meditation to sleep enough? Or should I do it more during the day? Thank you
Awesome. Thanks for sharing, Chris! So glad that you've found out what works best for you! Be well. :)
@@treblehealth I just wanna share with everyone that I still get affected when my spikes are bad. I was crushed when I had a long period of rebound bad spikes but I survived. I thot I couldn’t make it the second time but I did. We can do it, everyone,
@@Theguitarskater1 I didn’t do it for sleep so I cannot advise you. When my spike is bad and I have problem sleeping, I’ll take 1/4 tab of sleeping pill. There are many reasons to spikes and one of them is sleep deprivation.
Which supplements are supported by studies?
I tried Lipo flavonoid and arches. Both stated that they should be used for well over a month to determine effectiveness. It’s a racket.
there are dozens of miracle cures. Do you suggested we invest $1000 trying each one for a month?
Thank you for this. I tried Tinnitus 911, and fortunately they refunded all my money because it didn't work. Now I know!!!
You're welcome. I'm glad to know that it provided you with additional information that you found helpful. 😊
I believe Lipoflavonoid helped me, I took it for several months, but I stopped taking it for about a month ago and I don’t notice much difference, perhaps it was a placebo.
Same for me. I tried arches as well there was no discernible difference in my T
Great reviews, thank you for all your helps
The worst part about watching a tinnitus video, is that you focus on your tinnitus and it gets louder! Sucks!
In other words, there really is nothing at all that will make this go away, and all we can do is learn to continue existing in this miserable reality, aka “habituate” 🥺
Thanks Ben I was about to spend a lot on those so called quick cures ,I watched this video just in time, so thank you for saving me money.
Well maybe all these products does not work for everybody..but...here in Cayman Island i know one lady that say Lipo Flavonoid is working on her..reducing a lot the tinnitus problem.
Thank you Dr Ben this was a question on my mind. I have tried Turmeric but mostly for inflammation for my shoulder and neck. Can you do another about Acupunture whether it helps or not?
Thank you for the suggestion.
These people should be put in jail, the false hope they advertise, knowing this garbage does not work!
And I happen to get the second worst pills in the list such a fool I am for believing that I have had tinnitus Since 2020 and I’ve been very frustrated but there has to be something I can do
@@jaxbrown1064 you’re not the only one Jax , still trying to find ways to make it easier
Agree with D.Ben

Arches Tinnitus Formula is the best of the lot, you have to give it 3 months and it has been around for years as it does help some sufferers.
I admire this young chap but realize he is not a T victim and is a seller of ear pieces. Tried them, but do help SOME. : )
Cheers, Chris ( Age 65 ) Toronto, Can.
Wrong. He has tinnitus.
Yet another great Video thank you from (David Maunders).
Glad you enjoyed it. I appreciate you taking the time to say thank you.
Thank you Dr. Ben,for this video.

Do you get patients that have complained that their tinnitus got worse after taking the COVID shots?
Hey Mary, actually there are lot of patients who are telling us about that. We made a video about Covid and Tinnitus. You can check this link: czcams.com/video/6i82Qz7m9sU/video.html

Thanks for your comment, Syed. Be well. :)
I have several indicators that I may be low in magnesium. Tried magnesium supplements but can’t stomach them so I have been trying to boost my magnesium by eating 1oz / 30 grams of pumpkin seeds (pepitas) per day. The seeds are cheap and they are high in fibre at the very least.
Thanks for sharing, Kim! Be well.
They have magnesium that you could spray onto your skin. They sell it at Sprouts. I love it.
magnesium bisglycinate is a form that doesn’t have negative effect on the stomach. Citrate does. It is really worth a try.
Does l-glycine and taurine help tinnitus? Also vitamin tinnitol by approved science work?
Thank you for your most kind advice and guidances. You are a very kind doctor and a human being for supporting tinnitus suffers to go with natural healing with patience perseverance and tolerance. I believe in myself and believe eventually I will naturally and automatically heal. Bless you dear Doctor.
I’ve been experimenting for many years and B-1 is the closest to helping it ! 🤷🏼♂️
I developed Tinnitus this July after my sister had a traumatic experience. I went to a ENT and no hearing loss at all. I went to a chiropractor took rays and I have arthritis in my neck and it’s straight back not curved. When I move my neck side to side I hear tinnitus louder and when I touch my sinuses and temples it gets loud. Not one doctor knows what is wrong. It’s very frustrating and annoying. Nothing is helping so far. I’m also using sound therapy.
My ENT prescribed me Ginkgo Biloba and my house doctor Magnesium. So I am taking both.
I have the feeling my Tinnitus has improved a bit since then, something between 10% and 20%, depending on the days and hours. So now I wouldn't know which one of both it helped me.
I only have one request for you... please make just one video about somatic tinnitus ( without hearing loss or noice trauma). How to cure it? Whom to consult? Please just a video... hope to you
Thank you for the suggestion.
Great video (as always)! What are your thoughts on GABA to help ease the anxiety (naturally) that can come from tinnitus with the use of magnesium, meditation, retraining therapy and psychological therapy?
I would need to research this.
Just started Gaba today used 3 different tinnitus 911 products lipo didn't work or the tinnitus 911 ear drops NA .
Have you noticed Swansea xt tinnitus 911 and another one all have the same stressed out Dr said the same thing about the greatest pill for tinnitus its all BS
Thanks Ben for this Video , I also was thinking of trying some this type of medicine as saw publicity somewhere
And thanks to your video from where I learned to have patience and follow natural way to reduce my tinnitus
My pleasure! You're so welcome!
Uma forma realista de abordar a questão...
Aleve makes it so much worse when I have back and neck pain. I'm eating hemp powder and seeds and use CBD
I know as a fact there are many that have been waiting for this type of information
Kudos to you Doctor

The MNDAr the ionotropic transporter system of Glutamate, this receptor needs a blockaid, like Ketamine an antagonist inhibitor which binds to the NMDAr to slow transmission of Glutmate. The problem is when people have Tinnitus is a dysfunctional NMDAr and the reabsorption of Glutamate inhibited.
Hi i would also like to know if Silencil is good for this problem i have in both ears and i am about to buy Silencil after viewing there video..plz get back to me..ty
Thank you for this video.
I have spent good money on these remedies and none of them work. I have found that sound therapy works best.
Got to try adding some magnesium to my diet and see if things improve.
Again, Thanks !!! 🤯🤯🤯
Magnesium has been studied and seems promising but remember that it is only one of the many management tools we have for tinnitus. Keep using sound therapy and try adding more management tools as needed. CBT and TRT are very effective. Thank you for showing me how to get rid of tinatus.
About 20 years ago there was a study on Israeli soldiers and tinnitus. They confirmed a significant improvement after ingesting magnesium. I use it and it does help....so does GABA otc. I also eat garlic 🧄 daily...something about the sulphur. And drink alot of water. Look out for silica and silicone dioxide these will make it spike! Crappy preservatives.👀 Gotta bounce... later.
Gretta, da li je to MAGNEZIJ CITRAT ?

Hi Ben, Have you done any analysis about the SILENCIL product? I appreciate your comment
I would need to research. Currently, there is no science to support any supplements improving tinnitus.
I believe I’ve tried all but one of those in the video. Nothing worked. I take Resveretrol, NMN and Magnesium now. Seems to have slightly helped but in fairness have only taken since march
good information and very helpful

No worries!
Of course, thanks Greg. Post the name of the research as a comment here.
I had to place the link in quotes or it would disappear after posting. Perhaps that is a CZcams thing?
It still disappears even after placing the link in quotes. Not sure what to do.
I just sent it as a message at your Treble Health website.
@@gregs5738 Can you please say wich supplements were more effective in that study?
The ONLY Thing I have found that works for me, But is only temporary is finding the same frequency of the ringing. This cancels out the tinnitus as long as I listen to it. But as soon as I stop listening my tinnitus always comes back.
Yea that happens to me, if I play a tone around 15kHz my tinnitus temporarily disappears.
me too. but it is usually worse after listening
I am from Indonesia, regular massage neck ,akupuntur and gingko biloba to be less my tinitus
If you see people getting better from tinnitus what are they doing? I've had it since December of 1980. It was only in my right ear until about a year ago. Now I have it in my left ear too.
That's terrible. I was born in November 1980. That's a very long time to suffer from tinnitus. Have you tried taking blackseed oil? i used it and it sorted out the problem in less than a month after suffering for nearly a year.

No, you are a hawk and earing the wind watching the nice sunset.
I took lipoflavenoid with no effects. I only took one bottle though. Some of these may take a few weeks or months to absorb and work.
Thank you for your help Dr

What kind of magnesium? Lots out there, some I’ve reacted to
It appears no item in this video is worth taking to resolve symptoms and therefore why not just do a blanket statement upfront stating none of the stuff works. Why are you wasting our time? Just get to the point and be more valuable to our precious time and everybody's the wiser.
I was wondering if you have tried cortexi drops?
It's the only thing I've tried and it seems to help.

Great suggestion. Thanks!
I just started cortexi a week ago.
It seems like in the afternoon. It takes the edge off of the ringing. But I'm not really sure yet. Like not enough to keep paying that price for the supplement. So I will try it for the month to see how it goes.
I did not find any relief in taking Cortexi. Another scam...@@c_p12
