Built to replace another box I built for these, this one's a little more suited for the space given and vehicle, defiantly louder than the previous enclosure tho

I like the lengthwise orientation! It might be worthwhile to slide the subs towards the driver's side, and take advantage of the little door on the back. That way, you can still pop open the big door and have full access to the rear cargo area! :D
Love the big kerf! That coating really adds to the appearance.

yeah I hadn't really done any builds this shape and I like it too, the customer already has his battery installed on the right side but I agree that would be a good idea

Nice box. Pretty close to spec too. Now I could be wrong on your measurements based on just looking at it it looks to be about 29 in by 16 in by about 20 in looks like you've got about a 3 inch wide port full breadth. That would put it at about 3.05 net after displacement and around 35 Hertz. Again I could be wrong but I believe the specs on the sa-12 call for 1.75 cubes per speaker at around that tuning. That would be 3.5 cubes. You're a little small, but it still sounds and looks like an amazing. Great work. Close enough in my opinion. I don't see too many people build to spec. They're so constrained by trunk space that they try to cram just any speaker into a small enclosure in order to make it fit and they sacrifice sound. If you want the knocks it's about the box. I once took a Walmart power acoustics 12 and built a box that was actually spot on to the specifications recommended and that thing was louder than even some of JP's speakers. Everybody used to knock the Walmart 12 until they heard my system in town because I actually made the main chamber of the 2.5 cubes required by specs. I was pushing over 130 decibels and flexing the roof and windshield of my Ford escape with a single Walmart 12 on a Walmart power acoustik RZR - 1 2500d amp simply because I followed manufacturers recommendations to get the most out of my speaker. Imagine what people can do with quality equipment like sundown. But nowadays people are lazy and so they just buy prefab not realizing you can't just slap any speaker in any box. It's always better to build your own.

Just curious as to why you don't resin the inside of the box? Great video, and build as always though. Hopefully you bring us more content this year as we're thirsty! Cheers mate.

I used to resin the inside of my enclosures and honestly I didn't see any noticeable differences just extra mess and time plus a smelly box and know ones wants a smelly box
