This has got to be one of the best versions of this song...and of course Jim Cuddy completes the song like an old soul as always...awesome tribute song. I sang this song to my unborn son in the womb and when he was born, I played it and he stopped nursing because he recognized it...nice memories for me. What a lovely song.

My husband is dying from a terminal brain tumour. We've been married for 17 years. 17 years of joy, love, hate and heart break. He's hurt me so much, I'm mourning so much but I remember the man I met and this is the song I've chosen for his memorial service. I think he wanted to love, he just didn't know how.

The vocal duet is amazing! But the plodding country instrumentals has me looking for my dog that just got hit by a truck, (the beginning almost had me click off). I'd like to hear this sans instruments...or with the instruments smoothed out a bit. The two of them singing together though was a real treat! Hope they do it again.

Melanie Doane is so under rated perhaps because she is not into political correctness and wokeness which is a plus for a musician/singer/song writer these days, Melanie Doane is wonderful.
I absolutely love this version of "Songbird". From the first time I heard it, it became one of my favorite songs. I already liked the Fleetwood Mac original, but making it a country duet with these two voices was genius. However, having said that, this video really disappoints me. We have two people, singing about a great love, and they spend most of the song separated. Then, when they're finally together, they barely look at one another. The visuals, in my opinion, just don't do the song justice.
