It’s so funny to me how her books are so progressive and feminist, with women in STEM, and then you have the hulking man with a tiny woman trope, like those do not feel like they should go together. But she has a very clear type. I mean, a lot of people seem to be into it it’s just not my thing but I still enjoy her books for the women in STEM plots and the fun side characters.
What gets me is when the guy is 6’5” and the girl is 5’5”. And the girl somehow puts her HEAD on his SHOULDER when they’re standing. My husband is 6’5”. I am 5’8”. I can’t reach his shoulder with my head. It’s not happening. 😂
I read it awhile ago but I remember loving To All The Boys. The characters were more fleshed out and made sense. They had personalities outside of the romance. Honestly Lara Jean has such a cozy character and her coming of age felt much more realistic. She talks about being part Korean, about her mom dying and her dad eventually moving on and about getting rejections for college.
