In several interviews she's done over the past couple of years, she refers to them as her grandchildren, she clearly gives viewers (or at least me) the impression that she considers them indeed as her grandchildren and, if memory serves, she's specifically mentioned Weslyn as her granddaughter, and I take no issue with that whatsoever. If you or another fan have a different interpretation of that, however, I'm all ears.
