The Lone Ranger is a fictional masked former Texas Ranger who fought outlaws in the American Old West with his Native American friend, Tonto. The character has been called an enduring icon of American culture.
The Lone Ranger was named so because the character is the only survivor of a group of six Texas Rangers, rather than because he works alone (as he is usually accompanied by his Native American companion Tonto). While details differ, the basic story of the origin of the Lone Ranger is the same in most versions of the franchise. A posse of six members of the Texas Ranger Division pursuing a band of outlaws led by Bartholomew "Butch" Cavendish is betrayed by a civilian guide named Collins and is ambushed in a canyon named Bryant's Gap. Later, an Indian named Tonto stumbles onto the scene and discovers one ranger is barely alive, and he nurses the man back to health. In some versions, Tonto recognizes the lone survivor as the man who saved his life when they both were children. According to the television series, when Tonto left the Reid place with a horse given him by the boy Reid, he gave Reid a ring and the name Kemo Sabe, which he said means "trusty scout". Among the Rangers killed was the survivor's older brother, Daniel Reid, who was a captain in the Texas Rangers and the leader of the ambushed group. To conceal his identity and honor his fallen brother, Reid fashions a black domino mask from the material of his brother's vest. To aid in the deception, Tonto digs a sixth grave and places at its head a cross bearing Reid's name so that Cavendish and his gang would believe that all of the Rangers had been killed.
In many versions Reid continues fighting for justice as The Lone Ranger even after the Cavendish gang is captured. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
I, too, am 75 yrs old & ALWAYS loved The Lone Ranger! Wish that series was running again as it's REAL history which many people don't realize. I also have a history map of the United States that proves it.This same map also proves that Zorro was real too as well as famous trails, forts & battles etc that made America what it is today!
I'm a 75 senior citizen and I love watching Lone Ranger and The Rifle Man. I had been watching since when I was in my middle aged days. I love watching Clayton Moore and Chuck Norris. They are my favorite.
They are the best! Grew up with Clayton Moore and Chuck Norris 😊
...oanne (& Ivy?) You and Ivy mean Clayton Moore and Chuck CONNERS (the Rifleman)
...p.s. But, I like Chuck Norris too!
So do i a both of them is my favorite
I’m 74 and I’m with you, I never tire of watching the Lone Ranger, Zorro, Gunsmoke, Paladin, the Rifleman, etc, nor any of the others, but the Lone Ranger and Tonto were above all my heroes and will still watch them whenever I can….love the old westerns, and my family did as well and we watched together,….I really love Silver, and because of his conformation, he also may have been part of a Lipizzaner breed. There were also a couple of other Silver’s but they didn’t look like the last one which Clayton Moore rode often throughout the series, and up until its ending. I always wanted to have a horse like Silver….lol….HIGH 5…👍👍👍👍😊
I remember Saturday mornings watching the Lone Ranger series. Now I can watch them again and share them with my grandchildren.
The Ranger actually quotes Proverbs 26:27 in the last episode here. And he quoted it honorably and not like Hollywood that only ever quotes Scripture to mock or blaspheme God. How refreshing to see such a rare thing which ought to be common place.
I love to watch The Lone Ranger TV Series over and over again As I say it before it bring back memeries
ppppppppppppppppppp
clayton moore was the lone ranger.nobody else could play this role, and i mean NOBODY.
"You can't take the mask off of that old Lone Ranger." As a Texas ranger his name was Jim Reed.
Clayton Moore - one of my favorite actors.
you try jumping off of a horse at a full gallop on a downhill mountain onto another man & see what happens? Clayton Moore did all of his own stunts. Amazing he didn't beak his neck? Try getting a horse to do this feat?
@@williamdavis9943 he was fantastic.
Always loved it when the Lone Ranger put on a Disguise to help him along also etc.
Yup my youth right here batman superman loneranger
The Lone Ranger was always superb when he appeared in disguise. The voice and the costumes always went together well.

The big white stallion, Silver, is not the kind of horse the "old cavalry officer" would ride. Paraphrased from another episode

Love these, my favorite TV Show and Character EVER, what is the name of these episodes?
#1 The banker's son
#2 The Angel and the Outlaw
#3 Blind Witness
TO MANY COMMERCIALS Spoils enjoying the Movie
This series classic my new idea is make ps5 game
Maybe you can help me
On the first episode (banker), anyone notice that outside front door has 2 bullet holes when Tonto was shot at, no bullet holes on inside of front door?
The guy who got kicked out of the jail was on a few John Wayne movies.
Speaking of doorways. Door frames were 5'10" high many of these guys were 6'4" so they had to make a 7' door header. John Wayne was 6'6" and weighted 285 lbs. .
You should be watch this show because I saw the bullet holes on the inside as well as the outside. I think you are confusing the exit door with a bedroom door
Doors back then were solid not hollow core

Am familiar with the .45 Colt revolver cartridge. It would take an awfully thick door to stop a .45 Colt slug.

Can anyone answer these questions ?.Why is the intro to the black and white episodes the same as the colour so does that mean they were aired in black and white also his mask is different in the intro than in the episode. Im a big fan just hated the weird mask that covered his nose.
Stereotypes about wealthy people in ep.1. These bankers are "rich greedy people"! lol
Tonto kicks the marshalls but
In a fist fight and the lone ranger
Knoçks him out
Jay Silverheels was a wrestler in real life. Both were very athletic.
Tonto was a pretty good wrestler in real life.
❤❤❤🎉😂
It's Coolbeans
Much better dialog between Tonto and the Lone Ranger. Glad to see Tonto having more lines. He has such beautiful skin.

Do you suppose the Ranger's entitled to that uniform? If not, he could probably be prosecuted for impersonating a soldier.
Actually, The Lone Ranger mugged some soldier , and borrowed that uniform.
That is the uniform of a Texas Ranger.

This show is some what a little corny to me ,but it was years b4 my time my grandparents and my parents were watching it when it was being aired.
I thought that the Indian man had a name? But the sheriff called him engine? I guess that's how it was back in the western days,
When the Indians had their land taken away from them. Such disrespectful script writers back then.at least we've come a long way since those days.
Thumbs down!👎👎
"If you're worth 3000 as a bad man, you're worth even more as a good one." That's not corny.
