    useful tips. Thank you. I want to know to make packet capture like on Fortigate in a specific interface ?

    • @lameaveragetechies1040
      @lameaveragetechies1040  Před 2 lety

      Thanks. On Junos you need to configure a firewall filter then apply it on a specific interface as an inbound filter. Here you can find an example: www.juniper.net/documentation/us/en/software/junos/routing-policy/topics/example/firewall-filter-stateless-example-act-on-sampling.html
      There are multiple things you can do with firewall filters, but this one in the example will count the packets. f you then do a show firewall log, it will give you a lot more info.

    Most confusing part is how do I know what policy is applied to BGP or routes

    • @lameaveragetechies1040
      @lameaveragetechies1040  Před 3 měsíci

      Once you configure a policy statement under policy options, you have to specify it as an import or export policy under the protocol configuration. For example, if I create a policy to export static routes, I then go into my BGP config, under the neighbour you can then set it as export and specify the policy name. That will export those routes to that BGP neighbour.

      Sorry you didnt enjoy the content delivery in this video. Many people seemed to enjoy it, but it is understandable that some dont. It was meant to be a quick, fast-paced tips video to get in as many tips as possible in as little time as possible, similar to those "phone tips and tricks" videos. But Your point is well noted and when doing a similar video again I'll slow it down a bit!
