I love this band! It took me a while to get their chaotic and sometimes overwhelming sound, but when you get it, it's absolute bliss. They can pack technicality and that 'in your face' heaviness, but their more melodic side can resonate with so much beauty, emotion and atmosphere, that it hits you even harder.
I had completely forgot about this band and missed that they released new music! They're so good, i love the chaotic and noisy sound, feels like it scratches some itch in my head.
I think you are meant to get lost in it. i've often had their music on as background music or when concentrating on a task, something i can tune in and out of and just enjoy being in it.
Agreed. As I was processing it, thats the same conclusion. Not everything needs to be in my face and technical. Thats what im learning with thid journey.
Damn this was good! I'm watching on a new monitor and I haven't quite gotten the settings to where I want them for watching videos. It kinda added to the atmosphere of the song and video because I couldn't quite tell what was going on lol. I'll have to check out more for sure. Stay Metal! 🤘🤘
The best Metal band of the last decade. Definitely start with the newer stuff though cause they starting adding some melody in, earlier albums like Vermis or Everything is Fire are pure brutal dissonant chaos.
I remember the first time I heard Ulcerate, I already lovvveeed death metal, but when I tried out Ulcerate it was just too confusing for me at first. But, ever since I heard them something about their sound kept lingering in the back of my head that said "give that a try again, you'll like it". Then I gave it another try, and after "Stare into Death and be Still" it all clicked with me. Now, this band is legendary in my mind.
I appreciate reactors checking out the more obscure side of metal. Even if you don’t like it so much now, if you keep listening to songs like this you’ll eventually just become a fan of the sound. My music taste got heavier and heavier ever since I first heard Linkin Park when I was 12 lmao
If you're looking for heavy atmosphere, Behind the Sun by Meshuggah would be awesome I liked your insight into technicality and simplistic musical environment
This had a unique style to it, but I'm not sure if it's for me. The music seemed just jumbled together,I'm assuming that was intentional, but I was not a fan of that idea.

I can see that. I'm gonna dive deeper for sure.
Yess!! Love ulcerate. Finally was able to see them live last year. Drummers insane
I wanna dive into more!
Thanks for giving Ulcerate a go! They are so unique and musically interesting
I gotta hear more
Damn! That was really good!!! I haven't heard of Ulcerate before, and now I want to dive into their music. 🤘🏾
First time I heard Shrine of Paralysis i poop my pants lol Yeah the vocals are scary.
Stay metal amigo. Greetings from Puerto Rico
Ulcerate is another level 👌
