He was the one receiving the pass (wonderful pass made by Pirlo btw), the absolutely phenomenal thing is the control. 30 meters pass, ball coming over your right shoulder, with right foot he gently moves the ball to his left, controlling the ball and dribbling the gk with one touch, that is perfectly weighted to let him calmly put the ball into the net.
One of the most difficult things you'll ever seen on a football field and for sure one of the best goals ever.

Its mad that the likes of Baggio and Romario get forgotten, but if they were playing today they would be matching the likes of Messi at the top of the game. Its weird I feel like because of fitness levels, the lower threshold of the game has gotten better, and also the pace of the game has gotten more intense, but I feel like in the 80's and 90's there were more special players, these days it feels like theres Messi and CR7 Neymar and thats about it, back then you had Maradona, Hagi, Stoichkov, Baggio, Klinsman, Batistuta, Romario, Matthaus, Gullit etc etc , the point is I think Messi, CR7 and i guess Neymar, Lewandowski? possibly are a little inflated because they have less competition, back then there were more top top stars that felt like big game winner
His name is pronunciated like "budg-o" (budg like you pronounce "budget"), and yes, he is the best italian footballer of all time even with 2 destroyed knees
Don't know where you get that idea from. It would be Badge-io, although Italians also pronounce it Ba-zhio. I've never heard it pronounced with a 'u' sound.
