DeHaven Family Farm yeah its on the small side but most of our stumps are small price is right and scott thought it was in great shape compared to most
Sometimes renting in better. You can buy a seemingly good used dozer and easily drop 4 or 5 grand in any part of the drive components. What was that a TD8? Would cost you rental to install steering brakes and disks in that machine by a mechanic. If you are going to spend the money get a decent sized 4x4 backhoe like a 690 or 426. It will dig out the stumps, dig the foundation for the shop and help you erect the building if you go red iron. I own several bulldozers and can attest you will always be working on it no matter how good of shape it is in just the nature of the machine and the environment it is working in.
Thomas H. I dont think it is at 3000 a week unless the engine blows up or another expensive component on the machine you bought. But thats a risk im willing to take. Thanks for your input i already have a mini excavator and a new Holland 100hp loader tractor. Just looking at this to push stumps and grade the land then sell. Only about 2ac.
Buck's Garage not yet wife isnt giving me the green light she isn’t understanding the concept. She has no clue how much it costs to pay someone to bring equipment and clear the land with all the stumps we have
Looks like a decent little dozer, but not sure it's big enough for what you want. I definitely agree about wasting rental money though!!
