    I have a 03 Lancer had the same problem I replace the AC panel however the ac compressor not working because the top hornace has is bad. What is the name of the top hornace called so i can replace it as well..

      When i first wanted to replace my A/C Heater panel, I was looking for a brand new one from the dealership but they cost about $200. I check other websites and they cost about $100. To be honest, I got mine from Pick & Pull (junk yard) for only $21. It been over two years and the replacement is still working. The Mitsubishi Lancer 2002 - 2005 will have the same part number. Most Lancer i found, either have the panel missing or the left knob been broken off. I got mine off the Mitsubishi Outlander 2003. This model is a SUV but it use the same A/C heater panel.

      @@donkeykongchang I called the pick a part said they have one for $22.00 i will go there and pulled out this panel :)

      yea i have a big friend and he like to DIY fix too. When he is fixing his car and need to get into small cram area, he ask me to help out. I have not gotten any problem with my emission system yet, i'll look into it.

      yea even after i replace the panel, it take quite a bit of force to get that knob turning

    Oh man, this is cool ,bro. So I can fix my own ac by just changing that box. My fans to blow, and before when I fix. My ac (mechanic) when I would take hard lefts, water would leak in to my passenger side floor. Any thoughts?

      I replaced my A/C heater Panel because it kept turning on and off randomly. Your Heater Core might be the problem if water/coolant is leaking into your passenger side floor. On the Mitsubishi Lancer 2003, the heater core is located inside the vehicle. It is behind the dash inside the Heater Unit (the white box) smack in the center. It is a big hassle to remove and replace the heater core because the dash have to come down. I use to have a Honda Accord 1996 and the windows would fog up when the A/C heater was turn on. There was also a sweet/coolant smell inside the vehicle. There was also water/coolant leak at the passenger side. Heater Core replacement fix this issue.

      @@donkeykongchang Could be coolant or could be condensation from evaporator build up from a plugged drain hose from bottom of evaporator case coming through firewall into engine compartment!

      There was two reason why I replaced the my AC/Heater panel:
      - The left knob on the panel broke off and was stuck on heat.
      - The lights for the panel will randomly flicker on and off.

      @@donkeykongchangKong thanks for bringing up the issue..... I have the same issue my A/C knob wont turn the heat but only on cold not for heater and i can feel the knob looks like its broken.... First thought its my heater core is clog... But i just replace my radiator and got a drained, flush and refill my cooling system. So how do i know if its the knob or pin that needs to replace should i check the gears also on the driver side? thanks

      @@lethalchaos19 doing symtoms diagnosis is quite hard. From my research, the issue can be from Engine temp, coolant leaks, bad heater core, or bad thermostat. But if you think it is the gears on the driver side, try turning the knob from cold to hot and hot to cold. Check to see if the gears have move at all. Also when you are turning the knob from cold to hot or cold to hot, you can hear the assembly close and open.

      Wanted to know ,where to get the " cables ( blue & black) which goes in the connection .
      Wanted it for 2004 mists lancer es.
      Replace with new set of " levers & after market with knob".

      Closed position tps sensor how many watts should be

      Sorry about the late reply. If you think the TP sensor at fault, this is the test for that sensor.
      THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR CHECK
      Checking the Terminal Resistance
      1. Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector.
      2. Measure resistance between the throttle position sensor
      side connector terminal 2 and terminal 3.
      Standard value: 2.0 − 4.0 kΩ
      3. Measure resistance between the throttle position sensor
      side connector terminal 1 and terminal 2.
      Normal condition:
      - Throttle valve slowly open
      until fully open from the idle
      position
      -Changes smoothly in
      proportion to the opening
      angle of the throttle valve
      4. If resistance is outside the standard value, or if it doesn’t
      change smoothly, replace the throttle position sensor.
      NOTE: After replacement, the throttle position sensor should
      be adjusted.

      Tps closed position signal voltage 0.47 bolts
