I think Hui is in a lot stress and pressure is getting to him. You can tell by the way he’s singing and trying to be forceful. But goddam I love Jay’s voice so much he has sounds like an R&B singer and he has such swagger. Like just the way he carries himself with so much confidence and haves fun with the music

fr, I feel for him. he is such a legendary idol but is being grouped up into a bunch of trainees. I don't want to say he's leagues ahead of them, but he is. and not necessarily in skills either. I can definitely see how the pressure of performing is getting to him. and it doesn't help that minhyun is the mc either, in his pov, it probably feels like he's getting worse and worse.
It was Hui 's choice to do this... he knew what the program was... did he think it would be this challenging... I think not ... many of these youngsters are super talented and fearless.

The thing about Jay is he does it at ease and prioritize simplicity while hitting the right notes. If you based it on how EXO sings it, D.O is a prime example of this. Jay really did a great job doing his part. 👏🏻

Jay's voice is really good. I don't think I've seen someone sing so powerful and stable while performing on a survival show. He has a lot of potential. Hope he makes the final lineup!

The thing about survival shows, we always look for performances that can give justice to the original songs they are given to perform. DO's high note in this song is very iconic to us, exols. There's nothing wrong in improvising, don't get me wrong. I love Hui's vocal range but it may sounds too much for this. I am really looking forward to the K group's performance. I know he's going to do great unlike the evil editings shown on those trailers. I would die if Jay and Hui will be in one team soon. It would be wild.

I’m also an exo-l but i have to disagree!! Like exo, hui is a great, musical and creative veteran singer with the tools and will to go above and beyond. The high note is iconic but that doesn’t mean it’s bad to interpret it differently and creatively in this show where you’re supposed to give your all. Like… exo wouldn’t mind
i think Hui is truly under immense pressure to live up to the hype the trainees see him as, a sunbae, and the judges also expect nothing but the best of anything.. i hope he doesn’t beat himself up for it if he somehow gets eliminated :((

Jay kept the note and embodied the original song. Hui’s range is amazing and you can tell he is trying to live up to the expectations…however sometimes less is more.

I've been a huge fan of Pentagon since they're debut, but I refuse to be bias. I love Hui, but it's obvious that Jay's singing comes more naturally, it's not as forced. Jay's comes a long way since Under Nineteen, he deserves to debut.

seeing this months after the show finished it was really a crazy moment how mnet hyped up jay chang at first, but sabotaged him few episodes to the finale of the show. they're really did him bad. jay's vocals are insane and he deserves to get recognition for it! however i think it was a blessing in disguise that he didn't win because now we got him debut twice as a soloist and a member of one pact. more content for us his fans & one pact is rumored to be a permanent group unlike zerobaseone,

After watching kgroup's performance videos(individual),I think they could win this. Jay did an amaaazing job,but as a whole team, i felt kgroup shined more.
I think both are great like they both have different flavour. Jay feel more like western pop kind of sound so he will give a different vibe to this song which will give him plus point there. Hui's vocal is no question like I always love his tone and his high note but it is very typical like the original song so there is no surprise effect there. After all this is not solo competition and I really do think Hui know what to do to grab audience attention.Please note that Im talking about and only about this song which is very pop. After all this is team battle which everyone need to shine in almost same frequency regarding who is better than who. So there is no point to fight over who is better in singing. The main point is who has better synergy in their own team.

For my preference, I think Jay did better than Hui so if I had to choose between them, I would choose Jay. But I can't believe the people who think G deserves to win and K will only win because of popularity. Have you heard the performance of both groups? K sounds better than G overall. I guess when it comes the K vs G: G group fit the vibe better but couldn’t p compete individually except for Jay and and a few others while K group wasn’t jaw-droppingly amazing but still managed to perform well together and even better individually.

Watch the preview of Boys Planet episode 3, you'll hear there that Hui did the original high note on the actual performance, not the one he did here on the practice.
Hui can easily do it but he thinks too much to put up a good performance and the result they shine individually but not as a team.
Ofcos he did the right note during the true performance, Hui himself a composer n producer, he can even arrange songs sound better.. practice time just to show how good his high note

I believe that initially the system of dividing teams into Korean and foreign is not correct. After all, many members of group g could get more points, but Korean viewers are closer and more pleasant to perceive Korean participants. Although I don't understand how Jay's team lost. As for me, they were better. As well as many foreign participants. It's just that if the teams were mixed, the results would be completely different. Many who deserved extra points didn't get them. We all understand that Mnet will not take more than three foreign participants into the final composition of the group. whoever checks them, I assure you that in the end there will be either 2 or 3 foreigners.
