Lyrics:
It's twelve o'clock, and it's a wonderful day.
I know you hate me, but I'll ask anyway.
Won't you come with me to a place in a little town?
The only way to get there's to go straight down.
There's no bathroom, and there is no sink.
The water out of the tap is very hard to drink,
Very hard to drink.
You wait 'til tomorrow
You wait 'til tomorrow
You say that money isn't everything,
But I'd like to see you live without it.
You think you can keep on going living like a king.
Ooh, babe, but I strongly doubt it.
Very hard to drink.
Very hard to drink.
You gonna wait 'til, fat boy,
Fat boy, wait 'til tomorrow.
You gonna wait 'til, fat boy,
Fat boy, wait 'til tomorrow.
You wait 'til tomorrow.
You wait 'til tomorrow.
You gonna wait 'til, fat boy,
Fat boy, wait 'til tomorrow.
You gonna wait 'til, fat boy,
Fat boy, wait 'til tomorrow.

I’ll never understand how that strong deep voice came out of that little 15 year old Daniel Johns. Like wow. It amazes me.
It still amazes me that they were touring since they were 15 yrs old
Not anymore 😐
@@allanpos182 yea now he’s like a knock off 6ix9ine
@@sammy8592 I don't know about that but I still appreciate his music and his new music
@@Frost_wood somebody fill me in ???? Is he a rat rapper now ?? So confused
I roadied for this band when they first appeared on the pub scene in Sydney, they couldn't do the gig unless their parents were present coz they were too young to be in a pub. They always brought us a slab of beer for loading in and out their gear. I don't remember any other band I roadied for ever doing that. Great lads and great parents too
And that was on top of being paid
Their parents were pretty well off and bankrolled them from what I hear back when they were trying to breakout of Newcastle.
So nice to hear someone who was in the beginning of the band. Thanks for the history. They were a very sweet part of my youth in the 90s
Rob C whoa..
Awesome upbringing! Nowadays you don't see that kind of shit in Australia. Thats what's wrong with kids now
I am 43 and still listening to Silverchair........they were just bloody awsome for three youngsters......2020 and they still rock!!!!!way better than any of the plastic rubbish you get today!!!

23v0lv32 Lol he ain't a kid this video is old, he's 36 years old now! :P
Umm I know that. they were kids when this video was made. that was my point.
23v0lv32 "Tomorrow" Think about it
23v0lv32 it's freaky. that doesn't sound like a voice a person who's not an adult can produce.
23v0lv32 You mean this kid tried his dam hardest to look like Cobain n try to sound like a grunge band from seattle. LOLOLOL
Silverchair was a band of 3 teenagers from Australia who gained major exposure with their hit single "Tomorrow", first released on an EP in 1994 and also appearing on their debut album a year later. The band wrote, recorded, and performed their own songs, unlike some other contrived teenage acts. "Tomorrow" is about a rich man who takes his easy life for granted until a streak of bad luck forces him to endure an overnight stay in a sketchy old hotel.
Super deep and heavy emotionally. Being at that age writing poignant sh** like that is crazy. Hope Daniel was treated well by the industry but show business is sketch and that worries me.
Discovered by triple j.
Makes it more disturbing that he calls him "Babe" in the song. Lmao
We had mmbop! 😥😔

So important to remember that these guys were children when they made this. Their parents had to sign for every show they did and every contract they signed. It's incredible! There's a ton of talent in SilverChair.
I would have been so proud as a parent 😁
Craig Paiva I cant believe they were so young! So talented! 💚
Insane when you really think about the depth at such a young age. I was on my scateboard. Lol

I'm 15 and personally this is my favourite song, not that I've been influenced to like it but I genuinely think it is one of the best songs of all time. To know boys my age wrote it and recorded this back in 95' is truly inspiring, Thanks Silverchair.
I'm 23 and this is my favorite song as well. As a musical person, it's not easy to sing either. Daniel Johns' voice is about 100 times stronger than Kurts or Eddies, or whatever. Chris Cornell and Scott Weiland are more his level. His new stuff like Aerial Love isn't really my thing, but it shows that he has a dangerously good voice. I seriously doubt the other grunge guys could follow him, the kid just has a fortunately very high voice and a great accent. Sometimes kids just get damn lucky and this song is great. A shame he struggles with his glissados on the live version though.
i am thankful this kid had the chance to play music!
Sadly, Dan turned into the new Justin Timberlake earlier this year...
it's true sadly
+David “Metallkniv” Johansson He'd be ashamed of himself had young Daniel the chance to meet his present-day self. Maybe it's just a phase of his and one day he'll look back on all he's done and see things as he once did, then it'll hit him that those times we listen to in his old day songs were the best of all.
Rafael Santos In case you weren't aware, Dan himself despises this album and the one after it (Freak Show). Direct quote:
"I don't feel like our first two albums were Silverchair: that's our teenage high school band. I don't like them at all. I listen to them and go, 'That's cute', especially the first one, because Frogstomp we were 14. But the second one we're like 16, I'm like 'You're getting older. You're running out of chances'."
I honest to god hope that this R&B stuff he has going on right now is just a phase. We have enough pop stars as it is.
Well i think that 14 years old Daniel would be ashamed of the current Daniel. Anyway i still like the albuns. Honestly he said bulshit, if wasn't for the first 2 albuns where he thinks he would be?
Daniel John's and Silverchair is my escape while I prepare for this bloody pandemic. God, I want to go back to the 90's when life was less crazy and hectic. My biggest issue in life was finishing my doctorate. Not catching Covid-19 and dropping dead early. Wow, that young man in this view was like 15 or 16 at the time this came out and it was huge!!! Now at 41 he keeps evolving as an artist and making great music. His voice is so strong and powerful. I couldn't believe this was a young teenager singing when I was in the lab working on my dissertation. Awesome and underrated band!
So funny, I just thought of this song today and was like, shit, this song is perfect for the current culture. You can see it as feeling isolated personally, but also the big picture of huge corporate companies crumbling due to shadey finances. Wait till tomorrow, Fat Boy. Or just wait till tomorrow...
It wasn't less crazy or hectic for a lot of ppl like ppl that were being persecuted under fascist dictatorships and were rounded up tortured and killed for being opposition.
One of the best rock songs of the 90's. Heavy and emotional at the same time! Silverchair ruled!
I was lucky enough to see them live with my daughter in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. In the 90's. They were spectacular! Just an incredible show.
So lucky!!!
thats cool man. they grew up in the town/city in Australia I spent 12 years living in. met daniel johnd at a Mexican restaurant a couple years ago around pandemic time. made a social distancing joke to my sis. He's just a regular bloke.. a little bit caught up in his own fame tbh
Just compared this song's release date with his age - bloody hell he is 14/15 in this!

Over 20 years old and STILL BETTER than the crap being pumped out today.
Now say what you want about covid and how many lives it has disrupted, but it has proven to be The Great Equalizer in so many ways, specifically economically. Now, even the "haves" are the "not having as much as they once had." But even for them, what they had was never enough, because they never succeeded in taking it all away from individuals who don't think like them. 🤔
Not even "freedom" is free. It never was. It was all on the backs of the people who had nothing left to lose.
Sometimes, waiting 'til tomorrow is all we have left. We may have the power to vote, but what's the point when there are no clear choices. No one likes an ultimatum.

I love this comment; nostalgia!
When I was a kid I remember my sister's boyfriend had a CD collection that spanned multiple living room walls. One day he told me to pick out any CD that I wanted and I could keep it, so after looking for a few minutes I finally landed on Silverchair Frogstomp because of the frog on the cover. My sister gave me a weird look and was like "are you sure you wanna take that one?" and emphatically I said "yes".
I loved that album so much that for the next few months that CD never left my Discman. If I remember correctly I burned a line in the disc.
lilturk726 Thats such a good story haha. I first got frogstomp when I was 4 years old. We underestimated these songs in the 90's. And they ended up being classic gems. It's funny how society works.. THey don't realize how important things are until they're GONE. I'm in my mid 30's and I know this through experience. You never truely appreciate them until they're *GONE*

Sure, if all you listen to is the superficial surface level of music. Maybe try going deeper.
That's the efforts of elites.. To disconnect us from any kind of FEELING.. trying to make us robots.. the reason? They are not human. They are reptilians.

Adooorbs! You can already see how shy Daniel really was when at the end of the shoot he takes off his guitar , places it on the ground and walks towards the camera , his whole body language changes and you can see his introversion . But when he performs , boy can he belt it ! he is a BEAST!! Sheer magic! 💚💚💚
I know their so cute and adorable Lil guys
...that's not what introversion is
A really great band with such phenomenal success at a young age. They wrote many memorable songs.
To all the newbie kids who say this is crap: These kids were in their early teens when they wrote, played, & recorded this with real instruments & singing without any special effects! Anyone can get a computer & some music apps & make beats, but how many of you can actually play an instrument let alone sing at the same time! I write my own songs too & know how much time & effort goes into it. I don't need auto tune to sing either! This is real music, it has feeling, and although originality hasn't existed for sometime-everyone has their own "flavor"! The real music of today is underground & you have to dig for it unless you like to be spoon fed the over processed auto tune muzak that consists of today's mainstream "artists", with their packaged rebellion on sale now at a hot topic near you! Welcome to suburban mediocrity! Pick up an instrument, learn to play it, find others who are doing the same & start a band. Make your own tshirts & never buy brand new clothes again! Do it all yourself, write your own songs, record your own music, book your own gigs & never compromise your artistic integrity for money! Unless of course you want to be a record company bitch sellout, then go ahead & sign the contract! Leave the real music to real ppl!
There is still some hope in the younger Generation. Lol.
Yeah all the newbie kids are probably listening to Miley and Justin B and don't know great music when they hear it.
***** You're right. There is no magic button, which is why Nine Inch Nails is still so great 20 years later.
There is autotune, though, which way, way too many "artists" use these days.
You have made the best comment ever thank you.
It's amazing how there are ppl who will twist things around regardless of how something is explained. There's nothing wrong with finding your own meaning or interpretation, but putting words in someone else's mouth just says bad comprehension skills all over!
This song absolutely wails.

Same here, but my mother isn’t too much into grunge, but she listens to Nirvana and knows of these bands. Heard her listening to Nirvana when I was a young child, and that opened the gate up for me of grunge music, and that has made all the difference. I remember crying to her as a young child because I didn’t think I’d ever find music I would actually like. I didn’t think it existed. But then she showed me a bunch of cool ass bands, and that has led me to where I am now.

One of my favourite songs. Anyone else notice that this version is completely different to the audio on the actual song?
This is the Australian version that was recorded by Triple J in 94 after they won a competition. They re-recorded it in 95 with a new video for the US market which is the version I believe you'll find on Frogstomp and is much better cos it's grungier. Solid Aussie rock 🤘

An all-time Australian rock classic.
Why this band is less famous than Alice in Chains or Soundgarden? For me this is a pure grunge music
Claudio Gomes Filho they aren’t to those of us that lived it.
Beck Star yes they were
This song encapsulates that era to a lot of people. When this song came out, it was a gut punch. EVERY grunge band played this live in that era.
AIC and Soundgarden wrote more than one good song - they wrote A LOT of them. That's the difference. Consistency separates the legends from the forgotten.
Probably because they don’t have 30+ hit songs. I love Silverchair, saw them at The Aragon back in 1995-96 when they were pushing the Frogstomp album. They are great, but you are comparing them to legends
