Nice video I was thinking about this thing the other day And wondering if they were still making it that’s crazy it’s an 8 year old piece of gear.... my biggest problem with it is the price I just bought a used Toraiz Sp-16 for $650 I thought that was a good deal
These things are still selling for $750.
I really like the piece I would buy one if it was half the price I don’t know I just can’t justify spending almost $800 on the eight year old kit but it was a cool video ....

My setup is the Denon Prime 2x sc 5000m and x 1800. To be honest, I wannna throw it out of the window when the Prime Go arrives. How about hooking the Go up with RMX1000 what do you think?
I Shure hope they have some cool tricks in Denon, like Bluetooth on the Go.

i have a denon mc4000 with serato, i would like to take pioneer rmx 1000, are they compatible? how does it work with connections and cables? do you have to have a program on purpose?

For the price these go for I’d expect an all metal case & higher quality effects, I mean it’s usable & gets 10 points for playability but common pioneer take your dj know how & team up with eventide or strymon.
Maybe I ask to much maybe it’s commercially not profitable & sure there’s ways around it for snobs like me 🤣

@@TheDJLab I know, bad isn't it. I'm on CZcams everyday, I've never come across it. I think my phone blocked me from it, coz it knows I can't afford it lol.
Great video, but could you PLEASE put gear on a stable surface next time? That thing moves all over the place if you tweak it.

I am looking into getting an XDJ-XZ and the RMX-1000 but I have two questions:
1) The XDJ-XZ seems to have a send but not a return. How would I use this? If I don't have a return, I don't understand the advantage of having a send.. I could just put my master output into the RMX-1000 instead and have the same effect or am I missing something?
2) I like how you use it but I also like some nice shuffled Hi-Hat loops instead of the quantized Hi-Hat that usually comes out of the RMX-1000 but I'm not sure if there's a proper way in using drum-loops instead of hits. I know you can add your own samples to the RMX-1000 but how about loops?

@@Emmekusi Not really, I got the XDJ-XZ and used it live already but I changed my workflow a bit now. I use drum-tracks of another track more often which can be a bit stressful because the XDJ only supports 2 tracks natively and the lack of a return is voiding many alternatives. It seems like they excluded a few quality-of-live features on purpose so that professional DJs still pay up for the dedicated players etc.
I have played around with using an RMX-500 after my master output but the sound coming out of it was worse than the main out of the XDJ.
Apparently you can upload samples to the RMX-1000 but they probably want you to get their sequencer for that so I don't know how well it works for anything more than single shots. However, I don't wanna carry around another full-sizes piece of equipment for a couple of loops.
Also, there are some ways to get your return signal back into channel 3 but it's not supported natively so I didn't find myself using it live.
@@restless42 got the same issue with my XDJ-XZ, channel 3 & 4 are basically just “aux” plugin channels as they are not displayed on the main display :/ a bit a sad for a €2450,- controller.
