Old Flatheads don't die only their owners do 🤣
Two things are certain in life, death and taxes.
@@MortskeRepair is that wagon for sale?
@@clevelandmaker386 nope
🗿 I'll try to not leave any running flatheads 😂👍
@@buckeyejim2989 Have Mortske work on the valves.
Duff deserves a vacation, been working hard checking your vehicles.
sure has!
Good morning from Minnesota! Gotta love Mondays with Mortske and Puddin.
MN here also.
That Wagon next to the truck was NEAT 😅
What's the condition of that 64 Chevy wagon in the barn. Any chance it's for sale? That's what I learned to drive in!
I'm always down for a "will it run" to make a Monday morning better.
Yes
@@davidbryant5875 WAS THATHOIST MOVING A SIGN FROM PREVIOUS OWNER APPROVING OF THE PU NEW HOME?
It is nice to see the channel grow the way it has. It is also great to get a history on the classics you work on.. This one was a real "old school" hot rod.. "Build with what you got, until you can afford what you want. " Thanks for another great episode 👏
Our pleasure Charley!
Keeping the older vehicles on the road is the most environmentally conscious activity that can be done. Greta will love you for it. Nice truck - makes me jealous
Screw Greta. Put a pic of her mug up to scare the mice away. Only a mother can love that mug
You got that right! It's always the idiots with the throw away attitude that think they're the most environmentally conscious.
There is more to it then that, but i agree!
Keep things, fix things and love the small things!
Is a good Way to live your live.
I stopped at "Wall Drug" in S.D.
The man who started that company came across the plains on what is now I-90 .
It was a dirt road !
Apparently he nearly went bankrupt until he started offering "free ice water".
That brought the dusty & thirsty travelers in .
This was in 1938 .
YAY. I’m always looking forward to Mortske and Puddin mondays. Highlight of Monday!
Duffer needs his own show !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is his show
36 was my favorite for a Ford pickup. Mine was a 20 yr restoration project (a dollar a day for 20 yrs)! Enjoy yours Mr. M!
Nice!
Where'd you get the other $12,700?
@@Pancreaticdefect Taking little old ladies to bingo nite 😆
Its a good day when you do a rescue and will it start on an old flat head Ford pickup, it only gets better when its your own rig, how neat is that. Had a revival of my own this year on a square body that had been sitting neglected for too many years, but she's rollin once again.
When you said “in the home stretch now”, reminded me of my dad’s saying when a job was almost complete; “down to the short strokes”.
haha!
I love the way Mortske asked the Mopar Madman if he wanted to go for a ride with the same tone of voice he uses to ask Duff. HA!
Great episode as always!
I thought so too!
Another episode of Monday Mortske Magic...can't wait!
Thanks for keeping the flathead in that beauty. While I understand the economics of a SBC or a LS I like to keep them as they were made. Glad Duff got to spend some time at the lake. please give yourself some time off too, the fans will survive.
Oh yes, this is what Monday's were made for. Thanks Mortske, another great post.
You gotta tune into Cold War motors they got the V8 showdown going on with a old Ford Victoria with a flathead 8 and a old Studebaker with a overhead V8. You should check out the condition the flathead was in. It's wild put awesome too
Nice!
We definitely want to see more of that truck when you get it back. Gotta love the big puddin sticker in your Dad's garage.
🗿😂
Enjoyed this eclectic Mortske episode. It’s always good now and then to take a break and get out of the shop. Missed Duff in the beginning, but he made up for it when visiting the folks and Duff came up to reunite with his Master. So happened CZcams ran the Jeepster episode next, and wound up watching it again. The look on Duff’s face when Mortske talks to him…’you do the gas tank and I’ll do the brakes; no? Ok, you do the brakes and I’ll do the gas tank.” Thanks Mortske. Love The Duff!
Thanks again Mortske for another great Monday viewing! Always a trip when you take us along!
Our pleasure!
Cool Ole' truck, as always be safe. Peace🇺🇸
Good video! Loved the old pickup 👌
Miss Duff the most!😊
Love the videos. Been watching all the oldies this week. Super cool truck. Love seeing Mojo in the videos now. He’s a cool s.o.b. The dynamic between you two is great.
He's the man!
If you go back to Mortske s first, you'll understand all the parking brake references in the others 🗿😂
@@MortskeRepair yes he is. Such a blessing having old guys around like that around. They’re funny as hell and have tons of knowledge.
MoJo is Mortske's Wild Bill
Jeeze.. You don't like white lettered tires and now Keystones?? You're just not old enough to know those times.. 😂😂😂 great episode👍
I wore myself completely out at Iola. By 5:00 Friday I was crawling across the parking lot to my car. Iola was absolutely worth the drive over from St Cloud MN. I collect pressed steel trucks and found a lot to look at. Picked up an old Structo Army truck that fits right in. The cheeseburger and fries were great. Made sure we had plenty of liquid refreshment and all in all had a helluva good time. If I would have known enough to quit looking around at parts and toys I might have met you. But, no such luck. I’ll be 74 years old next year when Iola rolls around. Though I was able to use a mobility cart for the day we were there, I’ve made a decision I won’t travel that far from home again. That being said, I suggest anyone who gets a chance to go, needs to take advantage of the opportunity. Bring sun block, liquid refreshments, cash and a willingness to walk, and walk and…
Lotta cool stuff there! Gotta get the cheese curds!
Awesome project ❤
Thank you! 😊
I have to say that the magnet on your "Screwed by Mortske Repair" screw driver is awesome! It will pick up anything! Well, almost anything.
They're a pretty good bang for your buck anyhow!
I had a 35 ford Pick up when I was 15 worked on that dude for two years, put Hydraulic brakes on ,rewired it Loved that truck this will be a all time favorite show simply because I had one ,
awesome!
A will it run video on a truck you’ve owned for 10 years means someone has too many vehicles. They have weekly meetings for people with problems like that lol. Great way to start a Monday morning 👍
Where do I sign up?
That f100 - my dad had a very similar F-250 4x4 - think it was a 77, I was only 6 when he got it. That thing worked its whole life, masonry in the summer, plowing snow in the winter, dad and his people +family built our family home with it on weekends, it had that same green on green, no stripes, but the interior had that basket weave vinyl, same gun rack, slider rear window. Metal dash with the arm rest door latches. It was solid as. He replaced it in 84. The new Ford was red on red, same deal, but man, the the quality was really obviously worse. Anyway, thanks for the memories. I think that's a big deal with your show, all the great vehicles I remember from growing up in Traverse City, MI. Cheers mate!
Another long Mortske Monday , Good thing it makes the rest of the week seem so short . The Ford truck is always nice to have around for half a day then ship it off for someone else to work on . Your Dad was really de- impressed with his gifts from Iola . Keep up the good work , Stay safe , and out of the ND sun. Till next time Stuart in Ontario..
That’s the fastest I have ever heard a flathead spin over on the starter !!! Sounds like it got absolutely no compression.. nice old truck
12 volt battery?
12 volts!
Mortske is the dude you want to hire for a prebuy inspection.
Even Duff deserves a vacation away at a cool lake during summertime.😉
no doubt!
Coolest thing in the video: the homemade turtle you gave your mom. Good Job!
I'm proud of that!
Well i tell ya , i had a set of Keystone Classics on my 66 El Camino and after putting those on it i couldn't see any wheel that would have looked better . 14x7 with G/70×14 belted tires all the way around . Great truck/car with great looking wheels !!
To each their own!
Came for a starter rebuild, slightly disappointed. But a great video, really watching vehicles get started . Definitely a cool truck!
Next time!
I came to see repair I saw 2 hours of talking about not the truck we were working on I'm a little disappointed
@@andrewerickson6690 guess this channel isn't for you
90 minutes is just right. And this is my favorite beater you've ever "brung" home. Today is a good day!
Love that you signed Puddin's shirt ,
Sweet project!!
Man, I absolutely love that little pickup! What a find, hopefully be a bit more content on that little beastie 👌
P.S. love MoJo! Every shop needs a character like him
He's the man!
@1:24:30 HOLY GREEN GOBLINS!! Lord, looks like the Jolly Green Giant pleasured himself all over the interior of that thing! YIKES!! Just kiddin’ Mopar Madman, please don’t come 30-gearing after me in your semi…😅
Cheers & thanks for featuring a cool old truck. Love those old 30s pre-war trucks.
🖖😎👍
Thank you for the video!
our pleasure!
HEY! Good morning and thumbs UP!! Hell yeah!! 👍
Well, finally talked me into some more merch with this will it run. Well done sir! Hope your Iola run went well.
Much appreciated Andrew!
your old man's shop is absolutely immaculate
If it didnt invade his privacy, a tour of that might be cool. looked like some cool spaces in there.
It really is, he's kind of a neat freak. And if you asked him he'd say it's a mess currently.
Iola and Carlisle are on my bucket list. Automotive swap meets are all but non existent here in Idaho. Two big ones at the local drag strip, one in spring and one in the fall. Thanks for the great content as always Mortske!!
Our pleasure!
Duff works hard all year opening the power barn!!!!!
One thing I miss about living in the Midwest is being around people that understand how important it is to support "good causes" and actually put their money and time where their mouth is. From spending personal time helping the local museum to dropping money on Boy Scouts to haul parts around, Mortske not only gets it, but he does it. Good on ya, Mortske.
right on
You're an antique car's great mechanic!! Please make my 1950 Pontiac Chieftains run again, pleeeeease!! Her name is Christine, like the movie, and her engine is a straight 8 engine. She was my first car, I paid $200, and was my only transportation for my baby girl and I. I would love to drive her again!!❤
We don't do customer work unfortunately.
Back in 1975 I couldn't afford the Cragar S/S wheels, even at $55.oo each ! So, I bought the Keystone Klassics for my '67 Camaro. Think I got them through Sears. We do what we have to do ! I still liked them. And Yes! The Keystone Klassics are still available; from Cragar.
ewwww
Great video. I'm glad you posted keep them coming. Thanks, pet duff
Great start Mortske! TMI Thank you for sharing. 💯👊
You wonder when pavement became common in the Dakotas? Mortske!
I've driven in the Dakotas. Paved roads ain't that common!
"DAMNNNNN" Mortske, That has got to be the (clean-ist?) 77 Ford pick-up truck (greenie on the plates) that I've ever seen in my life... it's WOW... NO it's OMG clean. WOW WOW WOW.....& WOW AGAIN.....
That was a great eclectic video. Thanks!
Oh wow, I can see why it's not for sale. It's pretty solid. Sounds real good for only 65 hp...lol.
Great video ! Honestly I thought the flat head was going to beat you but you prevailed ! Some good finds at the swap meet thanks for sharing ! Duff gets a vacation ! Morttske always working ! Take care Duff and Sir !
I suspected from the beginning that the truck was already yours! Recognised the 64 wagon too
This would be so cool to cruise around town.
HI MORTSKE ,, DUFF..GREAT OLD TRUCK MY SON MAX AND I LIKE THAT WHITE 1964 CHEVY WAGON IN THAT GARAGE ,,. COOL THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!!!
Our pleasure!
Good Morning Mr Mortske and Duff from Alabama....Yup I'm a regular haha
Mortske, Another satisfying recovery. (Missed Duff)
Lol. Line wrenches, vice grips, and angled needle nose pliers are the most useful tools on the planet. You can use them for just about everything. Those, along with a few screwdrivers, and a small ratchet set are all I keep in my mobile tool kit. It is really all I ever need.
Good call!
3 hood slams in my life. Once when I was 8 riding with my dad to the landfill. Twice as an adult in my '79 Mustang, 75 mph on the 210 freeway going thru Pasadena. Really sets ya free, man.
Something you never forget!
Hey mortske you own stock in the tube industry that's all I see you do to tires lol great work getting those old flatheads running 👍
Lotta experience!
Anything with an Art Deco aesthetic is a winner for me!
Love the video and he did it, YES!! “ match in the gas tank 💥💥🔥🔥”
Damn dude, this is one of my "IT" trucks. Lucky ducky, Pick up some Hylomar M for your gaskets. I use it on all my vintage Triumph motorcycle gaskets. Game changer.
I'll check it out!
Thanks for sharing! One of the great cars of my youth that I dreamed of owning whenever I was able to drive that never happened as I became a licensed driver in '88 so it was an '86 Fox body Mustang that became my project!
Monday morning Mortske 👍 very cool hot rod. Can't wait to see what that Chevy dude does with it. I enjoyed the variety that you brought to this video. Keep up the great work and the great content 👍✌️🇺🇲
Thanks! Will do!
Cool old truck! Thanks for the video sir!!
Our pleasure!
just got in from 12hrs on the 63 gmc nice to watch some thing good and have a cold one. thanks morts. cheers
Perfect early morning vid! Thanks again for another great "Will It run".
Always a treat to see Mojo wrenching.
Duff Got Thumbs !!!!!! And he doesn't roll in poop !!!!!
Cracked me up when you said "your Duff for the day"!😂🤣😆
Good looking truck. It would look good with a set of Cragers on it. I especially like the custom radiator hoses. 😊
That's a cool truck! And thanks for the super scrapers they're great
Our pleasure!
It was really neat running into you at Iola this year! Thanks for the stickers already put it on the hot rod!!
Brought back memories of my 36 i had in the mid 80s. Mine had the typical SBC, Superbell 4 inch drop front axel etc. Fun video , thanks for keeping them coming.
Awesome!
Greenie is nice but I really like your old ford pickup, real nice look to it
Love these videos if you sharing a day with us! Great content as always! Mondays without you just aren’t the same! Keep on sharing! Appreciate ya! 👍🙏👊

Another Mortske Monday! Starting the week off right.
Nice. A little trip back to your roots. This is kind of a guilty little pleasure video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
God bless you and Duff, youse guys make Mondays bearable
@MortskeRepair someone's clowning you
Nice old truck. That might be a record time for starting a flathead, and no broken valves! 🎉
Get lucky sometimes!
I really like that green chair, that you see when you get the flathead off in the shop😉👍😎
Me too!
Oh hell yeah! It's another MULLET MORTSKE MONDAY!!!
I for one hope to see more of this "WARDEN" soon! The front reminds me of the cover on ZZ Top's "Eliminator"; that's one mean looking grille. Thanks for all you do to lighten our days...
Good call!
Thanks man! you should get that usefull tool today! Great video!
oh boy! Can't wait!
drove a 36 ford truck with flat bed for hay on the farm as a teen. memories
