We homeschooled our youngest son and he’s now a chemical and biological engineer. He has submitted peer reviewed papers and asked to give speeches. We’re very proud of him. We had him in martial arts since he was eight. He was on a swim team that went to state. It’s imperative that you get him with other kids in some venture he enjoys

The public school curriculum was very white washed when I went in the late 90's.. It probably still is.. If I could go back in time I'd drop out after the 8th grade and get a GED. I feel like I wasted years there, because I had to completely re-educate myself after I realized I didn't have any useful, or truthful, knowledge.

White washed? Give me a break. Most of the curriculum now days is focused on giving poc pity or praising their achievements because they are poc. Low IQ doesn't mean that education is white washed, it just means you haven't developed a basic healthy brain. Take a break from the democrat agenda/cool aid and get your life together.

Educators often seem more interested in political indoctrination than in improving scholastic results. For example, half of California high-school students can barely read, but the educational establishment has implemented ethnic-studies courses designed to promote a progressive, even anti-capitalist, and race-centered agenda.
Unless the education system changes, California’s African American and Hispanic students face an uncertain future. A woke consciousness or deeper ethnic identification won’t lead to successful careers. One can’t operate a high-tech lathe, manage logistics or engineer space programs with ideology.

Then high-school got better but prior to that it was something that truly left a mark on me. So maybe the solution would be homeschooling and then taking them to stuff like karate classes, or jungle gyms, so they get to play with other kids and socializing, while still being safely watched over ?! I think now THAT could actually be the way I'd raise my kids.

Although, I haven’t been interviewed but my son is in Middle school and we homeschooled this year for mostly the same reasons as the person in the interview. It’s going very well and my son told me he has learned more from me than he ever did in school. I also know he’s being truthful because before I used to fuss to get him to do the work but now he just does it by himself and he understands completely. I firmly believe it’s our jobs as parents and especially Mothers to teach our children!! Homeschool can be a challenge but nothing is to hard when it comes to your kids

I am going to point this out because I have tried online schooling before. It's still a school it's just a charter school. So like giving more choice and having the same rules as public schools and being paid by taxpayers like a normal public school but in the sense of having that choice. However, the downside to online schooling is it's a lot harder than going to public school and it doesn't work out for everyone. I do think starting early is important if you are going to do it for sure. Just trying to say though it's not really homeschooling as you still have teachers and an actual school to attend and it's not really on your own time.

Kids that are getting kicked out 9 out of 10 hate the school and those are the ones that get bullied. Once a kid passes 8th grade should have a option to continue get a ged or stay home and help families
