- I filmed the Pyramid Texts - the oldest religious texts ever, written in the last pyramids of the Old Kingdom!
The true purpose of the pyramids? If you want to get to know it, I invite you to visit the largest necropolis in Egypt, Saqqara, located only 30 km south of the most famous one in Giza.
We will get inside not one, but two pyramids - the one of Unas and Teti. I will show you the oldest ancient Egyptian funerary text, dating to the late Old Kingdom. The Pyramid Texts are instructions and spells that allowed the Pharaoh to gain eternal life. The oldest Pyramid Text is found in the pyramid of Unas. It is not only perfectly preserved but simply beautiful! Let’s take a look at it together.
You will see rare footage and hear lesser-known facts. I will tell you about Saqqara and the Late Old Kingdom.

Wonderful. I visited Unas’ pyramid in December. They are uncomfortable spaces to navigate but the decoration was wonderful. Your video brought it to life. Also managed to visit the tomb of Maia near the excavations... Can’t wait to return.

Inside the pyramid you see the walls have a plaster coating the writing on the plaster because the walls are granite and they couldn't work with granite at that time! Just look at the decay outside, this is over 10,000 years or more! everywhere on this Earth tells us that this decay takes that long and I can prove it or you can check easily yourself! This one is easy!! Thank you for showing this!
The Pyramid texts were written on limestone blocks, there is little granite in the pyramids of Unas and Teti
@@ancientsitesgirl See, there you go figuring it out.They plastered the wall because stone in general will take too long and if you haven't noticed, the had lots of text to write! Whats really funny is, the oldest have not on bit of text in them, because the few that were used for that was much later not understanding what these things they found were! The oldest ones have their tech for us to understand! Most are not finished because they ran out of time! I will happen again and again and again! Only Dino's lived a great time with no wabble or Moon!

I really wish you could have shown the hidden figures on both sides because I’ve looked all over online and I haven’t been able to find good really clear pictures or videos of it.

It’s always delights me to watch your Egyptian ancient sites videos.. I noticed one small error in your narrative (11.14) where you mentioned that the pyramid renovation still can be noticed after 8000 years!! That’s not possible.. Khufu pyramid itself is some 4600 years old.. 😅

I agree with the previous commenter, your videos are as good, actually better than NatGeo. I can't help but laugh every time I here the name of Unas. I emedietly think Stargate SG1. 🤣. It looks like the interior of Unas's tomb was scorched by fire. I'm sure it wasn't, but part's of it look like it.

Another important note, the box inside is actually two boxes, one inside another and they fit perfectlly and the inner is less then 1 inch thick. I'm not sure we can do this today, but don't believe it was possible then! Just the box itself is amazing!

@ancientsitesgirl You can see clearly the flaking plaster in the main chamber on this video and in several clips at 3:41 - 5:01 to 5:09 and again at 17:51 while reading the text as I would call it "Of children" because they were mentally and clues like this should at least make you question and that's tough because we do what we know and try erasing bad knowledge! We at times are stuck on stupid add bias to the equation and.....Got me? If only one person thinks about this, my work is done!

Now this pyramid actually looks like a tomb with how decorated it is. Why aren't the great pyramids of Giza decorated like these if they are truly tombs?
different times, different style I guess. In the 4th dynasty, even temples were not decorated with hieroglyphs
When you walked up towards the Unas Pyramid you failed to mention the large walled
hole on your right-hand side (It is in your video 13mins 19sec). It has a smooth finish
at the base with protruding corners. It is about 10 mt square and about 20 mt deep.
Do you know what the hole is and what it was for?

5 pointed star symbol was not used in China until Europeans came and showed them.

Some form of template was used, as the various words are identical, so it one overlays one onto another, they exactly align. That's impossible free handed.
