That's coz he's in a team actually plays like a team. I'm not gonna lie, I was a Mavs fan since the Dirk era. And I was expecting KP to be the successor to Dirk. Then Luka came. I don't like him as a point guard, he's too ball dominant the way he plays. His style of play limited KP's full potential. I think KP can notice that too. He was just used as an anchor there mostly, his touches were limited. So now I'm really excited now he's with a new team who moves the ball and plays together.
If Kristaps Porzingis stay healthy this season & consistent 💯 he deserves all-star this season

Then it was the ACL injury...and after that he became a 15 shoots a game player with not many possessions..

With Tatum,Brown and Holiday all on the floor KP is gonna get so many open threes. Like he did in this game. Defenses will have their hands full with Tatum and Brown and even Holiday. KP will have so much space and so many open shots I could see him averaging 20 this year.

Ive coveted KP for the Celtics since he came in the league. I think he's been giving a great opportunity to change the narrative of his career. But let us not forget how talented he is.
The Celtics have a legit big 3 now. Even if one of them is off you have guys like White, big Al, and Jrue who can fill those spots. They can literally go off for 20 or more especially Holiday.

When he got traded I said Celtics are gonna 3peat. They believe in him. That’s all Porzingis needed. The last team to 3peat was the Lakers who ironically didn’t draft KP when they could’ve taken him at number 2. Kobe probably would have stayed an extra year or two if he got a chance to play with KP. The Lakers also never wanted to build a team around Kobe. That’s why when he retired, I stopped supporting the Lakers. That team has no heart now. Knicks should have built a team around KP. My uncle got me a Celtics shirt when I was young cuz he didn’t watch sports and didn’t realize it should have been a Lakers shirt lol I didn’t care because I didn’t start watching basketball until I was around 10 and also it’s a great shirt. I switched to Celtics like I said I would if KP some way somehow ends up in Boston in the future (said this back in 2015) and here we are. Celtics will 3peat. See you here in a few years.

@@wildanmalik1819traded Smart and Rob and replaced them with Jrue and Porzingis. Grant didn’t play that much to end the year and Brogdon was hurt again when they needed him most. Essentially only lost one player that mattered and PP steps into that spot with AL.

At the end of the day thats what Brad Stevens was hoping for when he got Porzingis and Holiday and traded Smart and Big Rob and let Grant Williams walk in free agency.
Only time will tell but in his first ever game as a Celtic im very impressed with his performance and im hopeful hes one of the guys that can get us over the hump.

Last season, we would've lost this game. Gotta play consistent D and get some simple ball movement going. All I saw was PnR and 3s. Happy we won, but this won't fly against tougher opponents.

Funny thing is when Phil Jackson was the GM of the Knicks. He wanted to trade Porzingas for a huge hall from the Celtics. He got destroyed by the local news media who seem to be much smarter than everyone else. Lol.
I've always liked his overall game, but he's gotta find a way to be available to play. Everso often guys like him get a decent few years run of fair health. Hopefully, this year starts his run. He's definitely a quality piece to their championship aspirations, if he's reasonably healthy. I'd trade Brown, though. He's not what they need, unless the starting lineup is Jrue-pg, Brown-sg, Tatum-Sf, Horford-pf, and KP-c. That lineup is the best this roster has to offer on both ends. I'd move Brown for quality depth & increased versatility. His turnovers won't be missed & his output is replaceable by 2 acquired guys that are better fits with JT. I think that'll help Tatum to stop taking so many difficult shots. He's gotta start getting his spots in 2 or 3 dribbles, instead of all the extra stuff. He needs more KD & Luka in his game, so he's fresher late. Brown is a walking bucket who's a walking turnover.
JT and KP carried us yesterday. Love to see the production from KP but JBs gotta step up, dude isn’t getting paid for nothing.
