In the video you kept looking at the revs, its much more accurate if you just listen to the revs. When the car is too loud, you go up a gear, when its too quiet you go down one. Allows you to keep your eyes on the road aswell
This really reminds me of myself when I was learning and its crazy to see how far I've come and how much more sense controlling the car makes... I still have my off days where I cba with a manual and wish I drove an auto so that the gear changes were always 100% smooth... anyway Abdullah don't give up or be to hard on yourself you will get used to it eventually... its just a lot to take in, think about and be concious of whilst learning but you'll get better week by week 😊

I’m hard of hearing and my instructor was great because I could never hear the low sounds of the car, so they taught me other ways of dealing with driving!!

21:13 OH reminds me of my first attempt at a test when I did, in fact, almost flew into a fence😥The school had old mini trucks for lessons, the exam was in a normal light car. And boi do they react quicker to everything. Always 'get to know' the car first.

Ahh, I failed today with 1 serious 3 minors. Absolutely gutted. I stopped in a yellow box junction while moving straight on as the lights were green and I didn’t check to see if traffic was still progressing. I’m so disappointed in myself.
I failed my test too on friday 😢 for observations and lane change in roundabouts im so devastated lost confidence to retest 😢

Those busy roundabouts are maybe too much for now, he's gotta get that clutch control into muscle memory first. Having to think of 50 different thing at the same time is waaaay harder to learn that doing things step by step.
So when moving off from a roundabout, for example, it is pressing the accelerator down first and then getting the clutch up half way?
I'm guessing you gave the cycling analogy to him because he's an avid cyclist? :D Although it was never mentioned before that moment.

Had a test tomorrow.. cancelled it. Any tips on chronic test anxiety. I've had one test before it went badly and ever since I can't face the idea of doing it again
If you don’t do the test you’ll never drive so do it. Do it nervous, do it anxious unless you want to catch a bus forever

I passed in November 23. I've got a 1.2 Polo, 58 reg. Mine is £120pm insurance and £15 pm tax, if this helps?

At the start of this video he said his instructor controls the clutch for him? Is that even a thing? How can you teach somebody to drive if you're still controlling the vehicle yourself?

I think he said his instructor does most of the clutch work for him even after all those hours😳

@@BulelwakokoSeems an odd way to teach someone, keep pupils off the pedals. The only time i was told never touch the pedals was when i was up in a helicopter 🙂
