The attack appeared to be directed against foreign students and migrants, and prompted diplomatic reactions from Pakistan and India, who warned their students to remain indoors.

The full story: 4 drunk Kyrgyz citizens harassed Egyptian girls studying in Kyrgyzstan. The Egyptian youth noticed and started a fight with them, which ended with kicking the Kyrgyz aggressors out from the female dormitories. Someone then published the video without mentioning the full context. A large number of Kyrgyz citizens gathered and stormed the student dormitories. The rest is well-known

I've been to Kyrgyzstan and the hotel where I was staying in Bishkek had an Indian kid working there who spoke Russian and English/Hindi so he assisted me a lot and he said that this was a common occurence and I have to say other than him I have never met such DISGUSTING people in my life.

After watching all the videos, I can say that the local guys started a conflict with students from Egypt. when the students returned to the dorm. 4 local guys broke into their dormitory and they were rebuffed by 20 students. as a result, three escaped, leaving one to be torn to pieces by a crowd of students. footage of this moment quickly spread across the local media and several hundred locals surrounded the student dormitory to avenge the beaten local guy. I am sorry that other innocent students suffered because of this incident and I apologize on behalf of my compatriots, I am for the friendship of peoples. NO to war and no to violence☮️

It’s the other way around, an Egyptian girl was harassed by the local guys so the Egyptian students beat his ass, the local Kyrgyz saw the clip without context and saw the local guy get his ass beat, so to avenge him the gathered to attack the Indians dorm because they thought the guys who beat the local harasser are indian, then they mistook the Pakistani dorm for the indian one lol.
The 4 local guys were the bad guys who started all of this.
