Dave & Buster's in Torrance, Del Amo Mall, brand New Game stations, no out of order machines

It's one gigantic, bright place! Walking in one instantly sees the colorful games, big prizes and bright lights! Walking further in one spots the big bar and large screen tvs as well as the dining area where one can enjoy a good meal!
GAMING FLOOR
The gaming floor is to the east, on the interior of the space, offering an entrance / exit to the rest of the mall.
Games can be activated with gaming cards you purchase for $2 and load with game points. You can buy points in tiered / bundled deals, starting at $12 for 60 points and then it goes up to $75 or $100 per load. The more expensive the package, the better / cheaper the per point price. You can reload at several staffed and self service stations around the gaming floor.
Games vary in required points but 6.8 points (why the .8?!?) seemed the common number for simple young kid / one try arcade games. Sports games (table hockey, skeeball, soccer, basketball), driving (Mario kart, motorcycle, Jeep), shoot em up games, board games (Wheel of Fortune), app games (fruit ninja). A game for anything you can think of! Heck, we had fun even watching a well practiced teenager jump around on a Dancing game.
We saw lots of young families like ours and the dark ambience doesn't quite seem to match the clientele. I mean, I could barely see the teenager's shoes as he hopped madly around.
RESTAURANT / BAR
The restaurant area is split in 2: a sports bar to the south (there are 2 dozen super thin and large flat screens, my bookie would love this) and a more intimate (though still lively) restaurant seating to the north of the entrance / reception area, away from the bar crowd and noisy game machines. The menu is mostly bar food. Lighting is less problematic here - you can actually see!!
Happy Hour is available. Each drink requires an ID.
LOCATION
This mall is bonkers - large and winding, sprawling across many blocks separated by busy streets - so you'll probably need a few tips on where this is:
This D&B is south of Burlington and north of the soon defunct Sears. Park either to the east of Burlington or west of Marshall's / JoAnn and you'll be a short walk away.
TIP $$
Sign up for the D&B email club and get an extra $10 for a $10 points load. That's not too bad. There's an iPhone app too to help with points tracking and reloading.
