How to Make DIY Giant Paper Rose Tutorial with Cricut

Have you ever wanted to make a Giant Paper Rose using your Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore Air 2? I'm going to show you how easy it is in this giant paper rose tutorial. Here are three KEY things I've learned when making giant paper roses:
1. The center of the rose bud needs to be glued VERY tightly. Real life roses look woven together tightly, and a small rose bud will help your paper rose look realistic too.
2. The rose needs to be built as one piece from the center to the last outer petal. I tried many paper rose templates where the rose bud and the outer petals were glued separately, and later glued together. I always found that they didn't look like they matched. This is whole-rose method is definitely the best method I've found for making giant paper roses!
3. Glue your petals to the rose with movement. I show you how to hold your petals so that they look like they have a wave in them- and that is a GAME CHANGER. Without movement, paper rose petals look flat and lifeless. So be sure to use this method when making your paper roses!

This tutorial was great. My flower petal pattern was slightly different. I made one and didn't like the way it turned out. I followed this tutorial using my same pattern and LOVED the way it out. Tips that made a BIG difference for me. Bud pieces curl one way and the following petals curl the other way. Glue one side at a time and hold till cool. Using 3 fingers to shape the non-bud petals this was a game changer! Thank you so much. The roses are to be used at my daughter wedding shower and I know she will love these.

How small do you recommend for this method? Is a 8” to little? Less petals?
Hi there, how many sheets of card stock do I need for this a project
It depends on what size you make your rose. I suggest creating the project in Design Space, clicking Make it and seeing how many mats it requests. That’s how many sheets of paper you need.

If you bought the file linked in the description, then the only difference should be the petal size.
