I have stage 3 breast cancer, but am having a scan as they think it's in my spine. I've a 4yr old and I wouldn't change anything for the world. I do have wobbles every so often knowing that I will leave him earlier, but to be honest, anyone else in the family can have an accident tomorrow if you know what I mean. I don't think we ever get rid of it. I've just finished radiotherapy and am waiting for a scan. Just enjoy every moment of being a mum and consider what you would want them to know if they could ask you... Family tree, what you did, enjoyed etc. Being a mum is a calling. You've got this xx
You inspired me and give me hope. You are strong woman & has positive attitude. I was diagnosed stage 3 breast cancer in 2021 & finished my treatment in February 2022. I’m on medication up to now but I’m planning to get pregnant or rather IVF in mid year 2025. Prayers for everyone for complete healing and dreams for having healthy & normal babies🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank you for explaining in layman’s terms about the DIFFERENCES in cancer, cancer treatments, statistics and even stage IV cancer! My stage IV breast cancer is incurable, my treatment is aggressive currently and not going great(currently) and everyone has a different course and side effects and blah blah blah. I know most people mean well, but it is frustrating when colleagues (I’m a nurse), friends and family read a few articles online and think they can cure you….again, I know they mean well, but as the patient who is likely doing everything they can to survive, it just sucks. Even my own mom who is also an extremely successful and knowledgeable and experienced nurse comes to me with crazy ideas. It’s kind of refreshing for other people to reiterate that everyone is different. Your stage IV breast cancer is not the same as Sally’s or Judy’s or mine. I’ve said it before on your updates, but it’s so exciting that you’re NED and are going be a mom!! Hearing positives coming out of such negatives(cancer diagnosis) is awesome!!
Are you sure you want to go through treatment? Have you tried essential oils? Going vegan? Lol I’ve heard it so many times, but I can imagine it’s so much worse for you. I wish more people would realize we’re all just doing the best we can with the information we have. I’m sorry to hear the treatment isn’t going so well. Hoping you find the best care possible that works for you with as few side effects as possible ❤️
I am not confused in the slightest, you make perfect sense to me. I think that unless you have experience of breast cancer then you should not judge anyone and even if you do then each person’s diagnosis and experience is totally different. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 58 with 2 grown up sons my situation is totally different from yours but I do have some understanding of how you feel. I admire you greatly, you have a fantastic attitude. I wish you well and am so looking forward to hearing about the rest of your pregnancy and of course the birth of your beautiful baby 💗

I love your attitude and it makes so much sense. You are so young to have had cancer to begin with, and it would be sad for you to live your life like you are dying. As someone who has watched your videos I have seen how excited your husband is to be a dad, which is another positive if your cancer should return at any point in your life. All the best in your pregnancy! I’m pretty sure you are more aware than most mom’s to enjoy each day to the fullest. Yay!!!

I'm so happy for you and yes, we can all die at any point so that is not a reason To not get pregnant. Your baby also has a good father in case something would happend To you. Baby is gonna be fine, and so are you. 💕

Stupid she will get cancer again. But like u said her husband will take care of it. I Hurd that pregnancy does weaken your Immune system and cancer loves a lower immune system .she's not thinking about the baby only herself.

Wow you explained that so well. All I kept thinking noone is promised tomorrow. I watched your vlogs since you were going through it also when you decided to stop meds... It is your life.. I wondered also about the treatments you went through if it would affect a pregnancy?? You know your body. I am a believer and put my trust in God... You look great. My intention is to spread information and NOT to judge your choice. My sister had melanoma at 21, stage 1.5, surgically removed, all good. Russian doctors prohibited her to ever get pregnant. American doctors allowed her to get pregnant after 5 years. She did after 6 years. During pregnancy she had her lymphs slightly enlarged on her neck, but she thought it was a common cold. It was either pregnancy or breast feeding but it was an instant massive spread 4th stage. I have been trying to find the information what study did they base their “5 years” and its my understanding that it’s based on Sloan Kettering study that wasn’t about pregnancy at all. It was based on a large number of people, and most of them had melanoma come back 2-3 years later. So one scientist using this information that’s not related to pregnant women at all, created a what I know now is a “false 5 year mark”. There was no official study to find out statistics of cancer return during pregnancy and now my sister who is 28 is dying. We don’t know a single person who survived pregnancy re triggered cancer. My only path to honor my sisters soon to be lost life is to spread information that 5 year mark is based on falsely research and to order Sloan Kettering to narrow their research about pregnancy in particular.
I’m so sorry to hear about your sister. Things can happen and every case is different. I am certainly not saying that the risk of cancer returning goes away. The study I’m talking about is specific towards breast cancer in younger women, so I don’t have any info on melanoma or other types of cancer

In general, breast feeding decreases breast cancer risk. Maybe breast feed for a year then if you want to stop, maybe slowly decrease rather than an abrupt stop. I feel like that would allow the developed cells to slowly go back to normal. Just my understanding, I may be inaccurate since I had to retire from being a labor and delivery nurse in 2014 due to MS. But I had this absolutely best of all careers for 30 years and that was my understanding! Very hard to give up, I cried and grieved my career for a while! Congratulations by the way! Make your what if plans then go enjoy it all! That's how I do with my husband's illness. As long as I have my what if plans, I'm fine.

Samantha, the thing that makes your videos so powerful is your honesty. You know that you are PROBABLY not free of cancer. They told you they couldn't remove all the cancer and they would zap with radiation (the rib) but there was no evidence that there was no remaining cancer. So that's fine, it is what it is. Your cancer was stage 4 when they discovered it, and had metastasized to your bones. So the likelihood of a recurrence was high. And pregnancy has ever increasing estrogen levels. So it does provide a growth medium for your residual tumor cells.
The thing that is also really honest that you should feel zero shame in saying, is that You had a baby! A gift from God. You took a chance and not only survived that pregnancy but delivered a beautiful healthy baby girl who will change the world one day. You took a chance.
And who is to say that if you had not gotten pregnant and if you had stayed on the drugs all this time you would not have had that recurrence? You just don;t know. You took a chance and I would say you came out the winner.
Your pain has been god-awful and I have been there and had my vertebrae crunched as well and I know how painful that is. It made me suicidal. But as you yourself have said and as MANY women who have been in your shoes exactly have said, You can survive this and triumph over it.
So resist the urge to convince people it was the right thing to do. If they can't come to that realization on their own, nothing you say will change their minds and their opinions in the end, don't matter at all. Go forth and prosper! BE happy! Have faith.

You can also check ur tumor marks during pregnancy with blood work also congratulations 🎊

This video is super helpful because I have not been able to find anyone who has gotten pregnant with stage 4. I’m 29 with stage 4 to a very small area of the spine. My pet/ct scans have also come back showing no evidence of disease and I really want to have a baby using my embryo. The gestational carrier route has been so stressful and expensive.
Do you mind sharing your receptor status? I am ER+, PR+, HER 2- and currently on Ibrance, Zometa and Ovarian suppression meds. My doctor is concerned about the hormones fueling the growth but I’m optimistic.

I think you are being brave and unselfish by deciding to become a mom. Someone else might deny theirselves that amazing experience because of fear. They would also be denying their husband of the greatest gift they could give him. And does anyone think for one minute that someone who loses a parent to disease wishes that that parent had decided against having them because of “what might happen later”. I don’t think so. Regret by any of you would not be part of the equation. More like the opposite. You are doing EXACTLY what I would do given your situation. Don’t let cancer steal one more drop of your joy. LOVE WINS every time and you, hubby and baby girl deserve all of it❤️

I’m confused by why they’d rather not be alive, but that’s ok. People can think what they want. I choose to look at it more like you said :)
I’m stage four and terminal. Its in the brain and you I could life few more years. I was stage two when I was diagnosed. I had no evidence of cancer for two years and it came back. I wouldn’t get pregnant. Bringing human being in to this life. But, everyone is different. No evidence of disease doesn’t mean you are cured. There is no cure for cancer. Good luck with your pregnancy and your life’s journey. You are brave!

Depends what you mean by “all clear.” If you mean “no evidence of disease,” then yes, I have been NED since my first scan after finishing treatment
If the disease metastisized, didn't they tell you they want you on medication your whole life, as opposed to 5-10 years like you said in this video?
No because it isn’t active anymore. My scans show no evidence of disease so they are acting as if I am cured

I only wondered because one of our professional baseballs players lost his wife to 2nd time breast cancer, they has a couple of children and she wanted another one so the doctor told her to wait a while longer because her immune system is still a bit weak, her breast cancer came back. She didn't make it.

Well, I would not bring a child to the world only because I would be afraid .... Because what if the cancer comes back, what if the child is a girl and she will inherit the disease..... Sometimes we cannot fullfill a dream , the child does not live on dreams ....
