  • *TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES: APOLOGIES FOR END OF VIDEO CUTTING OUT TOO EARLY IN RECRUITING UPDATE* (Enjoy the game though!)
Helllooo everybody and come along for the ride as I birth the Marquette Golden Eagles program on NCAA 14.
In this episode, Marquette looks to advance to 5-0 for the first time in program history. The Golden Eagles come off an impressive, hard-fought comeback effort over the Tennessee Volunteers last week from a hostile Neyland Stadium. Marquette returns home as they host the (1-3) Washington Huskies.
Steve Sarkisian has led the Huskies to much success over the past few years, although they've stumbled out of the gate to start this season. They look to get back to their winning ways led by a ferocious defense featuring arguably the top defensive tackle in the nation in senior Elijah Qualls. The Huskies' front 7 steals the show in this game as they stifle the Marquette offense.
On the flip side, Marquette's defense is up to the task against an offense that features the fastest man in the country in John Ross. Each offense struggles mightily to get into an offensive flow as it turns into a pitcher's duel from Milwaukee. With the lack of scoring, it'll come down to the team who can jump ahead and hold.
High-profile recruits such as #10 TE Tyson Williams and four-star athlete Steven Goodman are in attendance--the top two targets for Marquette in this recruiting cycle. The Golden Eagles will need to put up an impressive showing in front of the potential signees as they look to remain undefeated.
Stick around after the game as we'll get our second in-season recruiting update which sees the Golden Eagles nest their first two commits of Year 5. We'll check out how we are sitting in the race of the aforementioned Williams and Goodman, along with the rest of our board. We'll also get an introduction to a handful of in-season additions to the recruiting board.
We'll then bounce around the nation and check out the Top 25 which sees MAJOR shakeup at the top after an enormous upset this week. The Heisman Watch continues to be dominated by running backs as Alabama's Altee Tenpenny leads the way with Miami's Kevin Olsen sitting as the lone QB. Ezekiel Elliott also makes an appearance.
In the next episode, Marquette heads to Morgantown for a matchup against the #20 West Virginia Mountaineers as we hit the midway point of the season. The Golden Eagles will look to continue riding high against Dana Holgorsen's air raid attack.
