At the end of 2020, I was at a point in my life where I was ready to give up on acting for good. I felt that my career wasn't going anywhere, that the roles were all the same and no one cared about quality or talent.
Then Snipers came along, and changed my life forever. It was far from easy getting a role (and keeping it!) on this movie, and my performance was neither mind-blowing nor did it lead to a sudden avalanche of new opportunities. But being cast in this role, and working with Directors Zhangmo and her father, Zhang Yimou, fundamentally changed the way I see myself, both personally and as an actor, and I will forever be grateful for how it influenced my life.

Haha, thanks for the kind words. I actually did another Korean war TV show last year (that will hopefully be out soon), again playing a US military officer, but definitely one a lot less angry this time! 🤣 Whether I'll do another one, I'm guessing less will be made now (as the anniversary has passed), but if there is one and the character is different (as in, there is a different challenge or motivation for the character), I'd definitely be interested. But at the same time, I really hope a comedy opportunity comes up sooner or later. Guess we'll see....😜

@@AJDonnelly Is it called Battle of Shangganling? I'm in a war movie Facebook group where we talk about all things historical war film and that poster has been posted in the upcoming section a bit. I hope to see it, I liked Snipers and the 2 Lake Changjin movies

@@graboid78 Haha, yes, The Battle of Shangganling. It's a remake of a 1950's movie, except this time, will show the battle from both sides. There's no release date been announced yet (as far as my agent has told me) but I spoke to director Andrew Lau a few months ago, and it was still working its way through the system. So hopefully we'll get to see it soon!
