@@Nick-nf1kd im actually fine with it! With a core 2 duo im getting around 200fps in Minecraft at lowest possible settings with native resolution, i can run shaders with a playable fps too!

TNT explosions (in MINENCRAFT) are actually CPU intensive mainly, because everytime a TNT explodes the chunk gets updated and the chunk updates are handled by the CPU. So if you have a BEEFY CPU which you do, so you wouldn't see lag spikes. But the fps will go down because of the explosion animation. And the Simulation distance is the render distance at which everything will move and update. So anything that is outside the Simulation distance won't move or update. This has been there in the Bedrock (Windows 10) Version. If you have a low simulation distance it will actually improve your fps.
This is only partially correct, it is still very much VRAM speed related too

I think the 710 GDDR5 really shines when you push the core clock to like 1350MHz or so, unlike the DDR3 it doesn't get limited by mem bus bandwidth and it gets a big boost

That's actually really hard to get, I have a gt 710 gddr5 and I can only push it to 1250mhz
My mobile phone looks better. Valorant is amazingly optimized though.

In MC 1.18 they changed a few things in the settings. The render distance is the distance at which chunks will render and simulation distance is the distance at which the mobs and entities actions and block updates will happen. So you can have a 24 chunk render distance with like 8 chunk simulation distance so you can see a 24 chunk radius without your PC having to simulate a 24 chunk radius full of mobs, animals and redstone engineering

@@starlordyt6151 Yes, which means you can work your GPU for the far render distance without overloading your CPU with all the entities in all those chunks, and that will come in handy when exploring

20:11 simulation distance is at what chunks the cpu and gpu will stop processing it(the chunks will still be rendered though unless you set it equal to the render distance) SO LOWER SIMULATION DISTANCE=BETTER PERFORMANCE/FPS.

I have ran this game on a 550ti...as old as some of the players in the game. Theres not a huge difference between low/high to me.

Kudos mate for testing cards we can all afford! Forza looks like a ps1 game...although brings back some good memories! There are a lot of decent games that are a few years old but cheap. Some other free games like Paladins will play well. All will be ok on this card once settings adjusted.

I had it with a Pentium E2200 2 years ago and I suffered a lot. I’ve finished Portal 1 at the lowest settings at 10FPS, it was freaking painful… and now I am with a GT 710 and it is painful too, but I can play GTA V, at least

The simulation distance is an option that sets the distance of entety / chunk updates. For example i use 24chunks render distance so I can see far, but use 18 chunks for simulation distance so my CPU doesnt melt
The only card was where GDDR5 doesn't matter
I feel bad for you, going from a rtx 3080 ti with nice and high fps to a crappy gt 710😂
view distance low is the new competitive settings in Fortnite, you can see enemies either way but on low you see trough the new high grass.
the fact that i didnt get to see the end of the minecraft explosion will bother me for the rest of my life

Simulation chunks is how many mobs can spawn and move. For instance, if you put 10 chunks and 3 simulation chunks mobs will spawn or move in does 3 chunks. Just to reduce lag

The reason you found Fortnite performance mode to be a little bit better looking is because Fortnite updated to Unreal Engine 5 for Chapter 3 which came with Graphical Improvements. Somehow they managed to make perf mode look better while keeping the performance exactly the same, maybe even better.
