I have the Radar Renegade R/T in 285-50-20 on my lc200 for about 1.5 year / 30k kmers and they are perfect!
About half thread left in them. They are not loud at all, only just after rotation for a few kmers.
The handle on wet payvement is not so good, take the roundabouts and corners with care, but i think thats normal for an almost full- Mud terrain tire like this one. Hope it helps some of you in your decision.
I'm going radar again on my 18" rims also, I'm between the R7's full mud tires or same rts again, i have not yet made up my mind. Its my daily driver so r7 might be to much, but than i can change it for the 20" with rts back and use the 18" with r7 for weekends and holiday adventures.

When you adjusted them you raised the lower control arm which in turn made the arm longer than the travel of the shock therefore you need a longer shock and alignment because it also moved the caster and camber out of adjustment it will cause premature ware of tires and a rougher ride that should be

You should put several hundred KM on the tires before you decide they are quiet. I've had several sets of tires which were absolutely quiet upon first run, then got noisy when I got to about 300-400 miles on them. When I say they were noisy, I mean it was like driving on metal grating all the time ... absolutely horrendous. If I took a stab at why, I'd tend to think the small rubber nipples (from the bold) might have something to do with it. After they are gone, the noise increases. I don't know for sure, but it seems reasonable.

The biggest difference I've noticed with off brand tires, including Yokohama's, is that they are molded poorly and require way more weight to properly balance as opposed to a quality tire like Michelin.

    • @Radartires

Both tire ranges have the same tread design and are same in terms of performance but have some differences in sizes and feature different dual sidewall designs - the RT comes with a Flaming Demon sidewall and the RT+ comes with a Piston-skull sidewall.
Also select sizes on the RT+ have a 3PMSF symbol making them officially approved for winter use.

Adjusting the set bolt for the torsion key doesn't change preload on the torsion bar( you would would literally be riding on the torsion bar the exact same way). The only thing that would make it feel stiffer is the change in geometry of the control arm, which is probably negligible depending how far you crank it up.
