- The following diagnostic tests: esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, and GI series. Lab values associated with the gastrointestinal system, including: AST, ALT, amylase, lipase, bilirubin, ammonia, albumin, prealbumin, and total protein. What can cause elevated or decreased levels of these lab values.

I am supposed to get an Upper GI this week, but I am not a fan of drinking the Barium--I am very nervous and actually would rather be put out for any test I would need to get. Is the Endoscopy a good test also to test the stomach, Esophagus & duodenum--I know they put you under for this test.
