Lyrics
Underneath your dreamlit eyes
Shades of sleep have driven you away.
The moon is pale outside
And you are far from here.
Breathing shifts your careless head
Untroubled by the chaos of our lives.
Another day - another night
Has taken you again my dear.
And you know that I'm gonna be the one
Who'll be there
When you need someone to depend upon
When tomorrow comes...
When tomorrow comes...
Wait till tomorrow comes - yea yea...
Wait till tomorrow comes - yea yea...
Last night while you were
Lying in my arms
And I was wondering where you were
You know you looked just like a baby
Fast asleep in this dangerous world.
Every star was shining brightly
Just like a million years before.
And we were feeling very small
Underneath the universe.
And you know that I'm gonna be the one
Who'll be there when you need
Someone to depend upon
When tomorrow comes...
When tomorrow comes... - Hudba
Having lived as a young person in the 80's, with the good and the bad, I'm still grateful I lived those years. Even the pain and loss was worth it, and still today the music sustains me in a fundamental way. Having adored The Eurythmics then, I have rediscovered them again, and hearing great music with fresh ears I appreciate it in a totally new way. The lyrics to this song especially are heartfelt and beautiful, and the music hooks you in deep. God Bless Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart for their contribution to the soundtrack of our lives. ❤🔥
Listen kids, I’m 88 years old divided in twain and I’ll be derned if I can remember this song… please try to understand, because one of us has to.
Absolutely love this song! Makes me feel so nostalgic for the 80’s. Best times ❤️❤️
without a doubt one of the best songs of the 80s

I don't think there's anything Annie's put out that I didn't like. I love her music. 🎶

2024, Annie & Dave...timelessly perfect! Thank you for enriching my life!
Her face is just....breathtakingly beautifull.
Flawless
Totally agree, think she was voted as the world's most beautiful woman in the late 80s but she didn't want that, she hated that hence the short hair etc 😕 When she wore the blond wig in Love is a Stranger she was stunning, scary 👌
I think she is an angel, humans just can’t be that beautiful.
Sooo glad I am 54. I got to live the 80’s. 🤩
Im 47 same goes for me. Music Is So Powerful It Touches The heart and Soul Of Everyone 🇳🇱 ❤️
One of the most charismatic voices in music ever
You should check out Aurora. SHE has an amazing and ethereal voice. Not like Annie Lennox but unique and wonderful in a different way.

I've always liked the eurythmics from the beginning, and even before that when they were called the tourists, and I bet not alot of people knew that, I remember the song they had when I was in my younger teens, called its so good to be back home again XXX

But it is nice 🙂
When music was better, Artists were artists, songs were catchy full of energy and passion. Life was better, world was a better place back then.
f... yeh!!👍👏🤔
So true ,!!
No it wasn't you sentimental fool. I'm seventy two and have lived though at least six decades conscious of contemporary musical tastes and styles. I can assure you that despite music of excellent quality such as the eurythmics regularly produced, there always has been and always will be, plenty of absolute rubbish around to match it. There is no golden age of music, only fuzzy memories of an illusory better time.
@@alanhobden8847 Hi, read your reply a few times , I'm about ,60 that I admit to , and yes you are right ,of a time there is great music around that gives you that illusional natural high off really great music.! Lucky eaurythmics will always be when we grew up. And everyone is young at 50 compared to all. It is what it is !!
Better for who? Not gays, trans, blacks, native Americans. The poor were still poor. Everybody thinks twenty-thirty years ago was bucolic.
And this ,ladies and gentlemen was the music that was made in the 80s!
Ohhh yes ❤❤👍
i couldn't have put it better myself
yes,but so was "break my stride" by Matthew Wilder" everything by Spandau Ballet,Duran Duran,Boy Meets Girl.....yuk

Love the 80.s
Loved the eurythmics and this song. It takes me right back sometimes I wish I could go see them times again and maybe do some things differently. Long live the eighties.
When I was getting over Cancer, I always used to put this on! " When Tomorrow Comes"...… It gave me hope! Thank you Dave and Annie! It gave me hope. And now I am fine. But I used to listen to this, when I was absolutely at my LOWEST! It helped me.
Music is such a marvelous healing power! I'm very happy to hear that you've recovered!

Annie at her best
Even after 30 odd years it still packs a punch.
Dave Stewart great songwriter. Annie on vocals, Clem Burke on drums.
Really good musicians clearly enjoying themselves.
This is what music is all about.
Shame about today's charts not in the same league
Clem being one of the best drummer in the world. I met Clem just before he joined the Eurythmics. Annie, Dave at the beginning when The Eurythmics started to make it big with the hits. This all happened when I was a kid in the early 80s. great times, I remember Dave and Annie in their early days in the band The Tourists.
You are spot on there mark.

I didn't know he joined the Eurythmics either.
What a clear voice, what a song, what a singer, what a band !
Eurytmics When tommorow comes, they have many fantasric songs
I love Dave's style. It's so 80s but still timeless. They look like a modernized version of the Beatles to me and sometimes, their music sounds a little bit like something George Harrison would have written.
What?

I never stopped to think about it before but Annie is definitely the best female singer EVER.
Just a few days ago, me and mum sat having munchies in a coffee shop... late breakfast. I heard this over the in store music PA and I could not sit still.... I'm trying to listen to mum and this at the same time.... mum noticed and asked wtf is wrong.. "nothing, I'm just loving this" with every hair on me standing up in awe. That was the best lunch ever.
Annie, Dave I wish you and everyone else in your families and beyond all the very best for the future
Nobody sang like Annie Lennox back in the day. Certainly, nobody sings like her now. One of a kind voice, one of a kind class, one of a kind lady.
THE BEST PERIOD OF THE WORLD FOR THE MUSIC......THE 80'S !!!!!
And the 90s party dance ibiza trance scene oasis u2 blur Coldplay continuing on from the amazing 80s ❤️❤️
True! Best music was made in the 80’s.
Absofuckinglutely
I thumbsed up, but it's hard to argue with the era when everyone was losing their hair and wigging up due to syphilis. Perms were epic, but time was you play a wicked Bohemian piano solo and you're dropping pants, follicles, and titles in the same note.
Well, that is strange. My grandad thought it was all garbage, my dad thought it was "nothing special" and my children think likewise.
One of the all time classics
Annie Lennox.....The QUEEN OF SCOTLAND
Who else is crushing on Annie’s awesomeness?

This is my favorite Eurythmics song. I just love it.
Annie was and still is stunningly beautiful - and talented. Cool then, cool now. Nothing ridiculous about her then or now
My brother in law remembers seeing her earlier band, The Tourists, get run off stage via beer can assault in a Sydney pub in the late seventies. But I agree with you. She is great.

I wish that music could be today as good as it was in 80’
Love this song!
Shame that we don't really hear from them much these days, but I'm so glad that I was aged 14 years old at the beginning of the 80s and was 24yrs old by 1990, good music and bloody good times aswell, and if you can remember the 80s, then you wasn't there as they say XXX
I totally agree with you. But I'm honoured to have grown up with all these brilliant bands frm 80s.
Better time yes, when is music been music, friends and good music ,what a incredible time it was 80’s.Memories on this time help me in hard time 1991.-1995. and save my mind in war in Croatia when I must to fight on battlefield for freedom my country. I miss the 80's and that time of disco clubs, that carefreeness, cheerfulness, joy, dancing and laughter. The weight of the war left traces on my heart and soul, that's why I listen to the music of the 80's and return to a better and happier world, as if the sun warmed me and returned memories that make the day more beautiful and less sad and painful. Thank God that I lived the best young years in the 80's, a decade when there was so much good music that unfortunately will never happen again. We who were young at that time are happy people, 80's forever.
It's timeless! I bought their Greatest Hits CD, I was in high school. CDs weren't widespread so I had a wired converter tape to run it through my Jeep's tape deck and used velcro straps to hold my Sony Walkman CD player to the center armrest. My favorite memories were listening to Eurythmics while driving home from school at 70 mph. Those Cherokee 6 cylinders were NO slouches as they had 200 hp, more than enough to move over 3,000 lbs.
Annie Lennox……icon then, icon still.
Greatest female rock voice ever
Amen
My god , I'd forgotten how fantastic Annie is. This was my favourite back in the day.

What a VOICE!
When Music was Music.
Back when singers could actually sing, and didn't rely on auto-tune
I'm proud to be a 17 years old fan of Annie lennox 😍
that's so cool👏👍😎 i grew up with this music 👍👍
Then maddona robbed her of being queen of pop
Im happy I was 17 when this came out :)
What do you believe "auto-tune" to be? Do you have any idea about the tricks involved in recording music in the 1980s? All the engineering/mixing techniques that were used in recording studios? Multi-tracking was once considered "cheating" and splicing between different takes on physical tape. Heck the recording process has been one big cheat since the beginning!
I'm 12 and i love Annie Lennox to
Best song of Eurythmics
Amen
Thank you beautiful Annie. ✨️🙏
There is no doubt the 80s + 90s were the best tim in Pop Music so many Bands so many of them and all of them so great. Now that im 58 years old i fall in memories only good ones as soon i listen to this music of this era.

Just perfection!
Annie Lennox is just adorable.
Oh what a voice, amazing. No auto-tune rubbish back in the day - just pure talent and passion. Thank you Annie, you're a true legend.
Beautiful xx
Absolutely right she's a legend
No auto-tune, but multiple takes, multi-tracking, compression, reverb, noise-gates, limiters etc etc. All would have been considered "cheating" by the early pioneers of recording. In the 1980s my grandad would talk about how the 1980s records were "cheating". He thought the music was awful and the performers utterly devoid of talent. My dad pretty much thought the same.
I never realized how flawlessly beautiful she is, damn

Born in 1979 I grew up with 80's music as a kid💚🙏. The music really touched a lot of feelings I didn't know existed back then. I will never forget it. When I was almost Dying, on a Breathing machine, etc. I used to listen to this here now on video. It gave me Hope! And thanks to people like Annie, Dave Stuart, I pulled through. I never saw a Tomorrow! I was that poorly! But when I watched this, it made me think twice. Thank God for the Eurythmics!
Clem Burke is such a steady, awesome and underrated drummer. The whole band and production shines on here !
These songs make me want to be an adult in the 80s. i wish i was born earlier. A generation is very lucky.
Generally it wasn't a great decade in the UK. Many union strikes, the Falklands War, IRA attacks etc but the music!!! We had it all. The 80s were my years, 15 years old in 1980 and ready to enjoy the decade, going to so many live gigs of bands that are now legends, including The Eurythmics. They were one of the best.
I am one of that lucky ones and i can only agree that the 80's was the best decade in mankind.
