Another tip is to mirror your shot and zoom in - looks like a completely different camera and no need to reshoot! Only works if there’s no words or patterns in shot that would make it obvious that it’s mirrored. Great video! I’d never actually thought about making sure the wardrobe contrasts with the background, I’ve probably worn white in front of a white bg way too many times! 😅
Sorry, but I think that is a bad idea for two reasons. One: it will look weird because hardly any face is perfectly symmetrical. Two: you are breaking the 180-degree rule and can therefore cause confusion.

Synchronized with what he is talking about. In the most professional, production manners. You rarely see a tutorial/educational video. By an established Pro. Like this guy. I know. I spent a couple of decades as a Senior Broadcast Engineer for NBC-TV. And so, I know. I've been doing this for over 50 years. And this guy is right on the mark! It's so refreshing, to hear somebody like him. With such a well-thought-out, well enunciated, well articulated, thorough professional tutorial. This is the real deal. This man speaks Truth. He knows what there is to be known. In a deep, well-educated, highly skilled, totally professional manner. His audio is perfect. His exposures are perfect. The lighting is perfect. And he is rather abundantly handsome. With such a lovely delivery and demeanor. They don't get more professional than this guy. I can hardly say enough about this guy and his CZcams channel! And I just fell in here. As a professional, now retired, myself. At 67 years of age. And always looking, always searching, to learn more. Our quest for knowledge is never-ending. And every now and then you find a good one! Because there are so many other truly poor examples out there on CZcams. I rarely come across a guy like this. There are those, sure. Great tips. I noticed you were standing up during the interview. It's best practice to sit and be at eye level if the interviewee is sitting down to match your eyeline.

Really good video and I appreciate your thoughts on the FX30, which I am researching. However, this is tough for me to call this a way to film “multicam”. I was intrigued by the title and wanted to check it out. But not to split hairs…..I usually consider a multicam shoot a way to actually sync the cams. And there is no way to “sync” in post when doing interviews like this. I would say, just film in 4k and maybe have your iPhone as a super wide and away B Cam to cut away with. Maybe even make that B cam black and white or something. Again, nice video. 👍🏻

Nice, many of us just use a teleprompter for consistent answers for multiple retakes while moving the camera into different angles.

It works best when you shoot in a higher resolution than the one you will be editing in your sequence. You have so much “space” for those pans.
