    I have a 122s in the garage with a 160 engine, overdrive, jetex exhaust. Shame it's not run in 10 years...

      TheBatpants It probably won't take much to get it running again :)

      Don't think so, needs a bit of tlc and welding (not to mention a new boot lid) and it should run fine after that

    Thanks for posting this. It was extremely helpful to be able to follow along while I did the same job. Is there a trick to putting the half shafts back in?

      Sorry for the late reply. You have to lift them and center them into the differential opening so the best thing to do is visualize them and unfortunately there's not much to balance on except the new seal.

    Do you know a company that makes parts for Volvo 245's?

    I am using a m46 overdrive for my 140 b20. Only need a new bellhousing because te engine from a 240 is under a angle.

      That dutch guy but your shifter is the short style?

    • @volvo1966amazon
      @volvo1966amazon Před 9 lety

      yes it is. It is a 1972 140 and from 1971 or 70 the were with the short shift. You can build one in your Amazon but you need to cut your body to fit the gearbox

      Can I just put an m47 and get rid of the electronic overdrive? Or will it not work with my speedometer?

    • @volvo1966amazon

      David Bello Your bellhous will not fit. And the gearing of the m47 compared to your diff will give you very strange gearchanges. Also your speedo isn't going to work because the cars with the M47 had a Electronic speeding sensor in the differential. My advise is search for a M41 or a M46 . M46 will be your 2nd choice but it wil be the best. There are some rare M47s with a speed cable but they have very bad 2nd gears

      That dutch guy i just swapped my m41 for the m40 again because it broke on our trip to Oregon. I'll look fire another to keep things simple
