HOW OFTEN TO CHANGE TIMING CHAIN ON DODGE DART. WHEN TO REPLACE TIMING CHAIN
If you have Dodge Dart with 2.4 multiair engine and you are wondering how often you should change replace your timing chain we will explain what interval we use at the shop. According to the manual the timing chain is not a serviceable item. However, we have had multiple timing chain failures on different cars ( makes and models) that is why we think it is a good idea to replace the timing chain and tensioner. We demonstrated on 2013 Dodge Dart 2.4 Multiair but it should work for the whole generation Dodge Dart.

2015 Dart 2.4l 6spd... Great little car. Have had to replace the clutch, pressure plate and flywheel at 78,000, at 130,000 and I'm pretty sure gonna have to replace it again soon. But THANKS TO YOUR CHANNEL I recently changed the water pump and thermostat at 194,000. Started wandering about the timing chain replacement. Guessing it's recommended to change it since I'm just shy of 200,000 miles lol. And it probably idles on my job site around 15-20hrs a week on top of the mileage..

I looked in my service manual of my 2014 fiesta st and it says 10 years for timing belt, I forgot the kilometres. Is it recommended to change it earlier? I had the car almost 5 years now and done close to 90 thousand kilometres.
