- This was a fun trip we took. Went for the evening bite on some rockfish and we were hoping for halibut! We did see a great white also! Pretty rad trip! Special thanks to Rich for the invite and the great experience!

That boat launch is really cool. Only the most crisp dollar bills! Awesome fishing trip Edward this was a cool one. Drone shots were amazing. The great white thing would have freaked me out!! I’m definitely not swimming there. Glad you got some fish in the boat. 🤙🎣

Now you know why I no longer kayak off Avila or Shell. Whitey is always around.
Wait until you meet the twins.. They're 15 feet by now. You know, you don't have to use the boat launch, you can use the dog beach boat ramp and launch off the beach. That's why they built that ramp.
It's the ramp over by the roadside bathrooms the ramp is open at 5 30 am I think it closes at 7 30pm.
Oooo the twins sound so ominous! the dog beach sounds messy and not as easy as the $2 launch.
@@Hook2Cook either way. It takes me about 2 minutes to beach launch my 14 ft. You do need AWD.
Looks like fun. I wish the Gaviota pier and hoist was back in service.

I was there at Gaviota about 2 months ago. You have to pay attention to which way the wind is blowing when you visit. That new bird sanctuary stinks! 😷
And I was about to dive that area 😝 not anymore 😂

whats your opinion on why some lings are blue? is it really the diet?
Didn’t really have one till you asked😆 birthmark? Genes? Traits that are in their DNA that come up in generations that pop up based on mom and dad… so many possibilities
@@Hook2Cook Blue ling color is caused by a bile pigment issue called Biliverdin . it occurs mostly in female ling cod. The bright Blue color can also occur with Cabezon .
