I remember watching the naked chef way back with Jamie sliding down the banisters and his friends rushing in great music, Jamie finishing off and serving up ....Loved and just been watching it again. I love the passion, I feel the same about food, use the best ingredients and flavours......Hating October 2021 with so much missing and the quality is rubbish. I grow my own herbs....Jamie Oliver's my comfort food in these dark times. Wishing him all the best in everything he does and his family.

That’s often done (or used to be) to check the egg whites were stiff enough for pavlova - I also wouldn’t trust myself, knowing my luck it would all plop out right on top of my head 😂 x

Kinda disappointed he used store bought rice pudding when it's so easy to make, but regardless looks like an easy and delicious recipe.
Sure it's easy, but for a lot of people this is challenging enough. Get them in the kitchen first, get them confident and used to things, then replace store-bought ingredients with ones you have to make from scratch. He's all about getting people into the kitchen instead of the take-out.

If you haven’t, fair enough, if you have, you’re contradicting yourself.
1 in 30,000 eggs contain salmonella. So long as you’re buying fresh eggs to use in your baking, there’s a very, very, very slim to zero chance you’re going to ever get sick. Raw eggs actually contain more vitamins & nutrients than cooked too. They’ve been used for hundreds of years in cooking / baking with very little consequence, you’ve likely consumed many without even realising.

@@dsansil it depends on the quality of the eggs and the food industry laws of your country regarding how the eggs are handled. Many dishes use raw eggs and no one gets salmonella from those dishes. They choose the eggs right

@@dsansil I meant no disrespect, of course there are people here worldwide. That's why i said that this depends on the country and the quality of the eggs. Here in finland we have salmonella free eggs so if you visit here someday then you definetily can eat something with raw eggs :)

Let me guess without watching his videos, he fucked up every steps of making the dish like he always do. No wonder 22 out of 25 remaining Jamie's restaurant had been shut down as of 2019. I have 0 confident in Jamie's ability to cook any dishes.
