She should not be a distinguished guest of honour. She's shown no remorse for what's she's done. At least Pauline, is staying away from the limelight and living as a recluse
She speaks about society and politics with compassion and humour. What she did as a 15year old was horrendous. However, in another interview she says how her punishment was necessary to bring about repentance and understanding of who she was and what sort of person she wanted to be. 5 years felt a long time for a 15year old but not so long that it crushed her completely and stopped her from rebuilding. Comments on here are demonising her but the fact she has rebuilt her life, become a law abiding citizen and contributed to society is surely exactly what we want to happen in these cases. She is a rare example of success in our system. The fact her friends didn’t abandon her when the awful truth came out, speaks volumes to me about who she grew up to be.
Charlotte and Pitt, and Hester and Monk, were beloved companions to me for 2 decades of my life. They still come to visit and esp with Hester and Monk, the charm never fades.
That painting to the left of her head looks very similar to the path through Victoria Park in Christchurch where she and Pauline Parker bludgeoned Honorah Parker to death. I saw another interview where she was sitting in front of the same paintings and she said a dear friend had painted them....
I absolutely love Anne Perry's books. I own every one of the Thomas Pitt and William Monk series, and most of the Christmas books. I have read them all at least twice and never tire of them. Huge fan girl here.
Let her enjoy the fucking books alone. Oh my fucking dog. Let people live. She doesn't care, she enjoys the BOOKS, can she, alone? Without being assaulted for the simple fact she enjoys fucking books??
The comments are disappointing, none of the people commenting she is a piece of shit are doctors, criminal psychologists, therapists etc. She served time was in institutioms and they deemed her accpetable to be released into the world. So what if shes made something of herself.
That’s because the psychologists in the 50s were incredibly backwards. If she was diagnosed today she would’ve been put in juvenile detention for life. As she should be right now. She got off easy because her parents were rich.
Prob because whenever she talks about the murder she shows no remorse & it's as if she's relating something meaningless and mundane, that meant nothing.
Here's an interview with Anne Perry before she was known as being Julie Hulme ... from 1994: czcams.com/video/xc3s42t05rE/video.html She shows her sense of morality here, very clearly, about 50 minutes in.
For real! I mean what exactly are people expecting? Are they expecting her to burst into tears at any given moment over what she done? Unless the subject is about that section of her life, you can't say anything! This video isn't even about what she did, people are fucking dumb as fuck
While I don't condone anything shes done, and think that she's probably very sick in the head to have committed such a crime without remorse. Who best to write books on crime other than a genuine psychopath. I'm sure she will be an interesting read, regardless of her personal sins, that disgust me.
1:30-1:50 is interesting. Speaking of social ills of yesteryear that continue today--the Victorian practice of giving female murderers disproportionately light sentences for their crimes is one relic of our past we should abandon, yet unfortunately have not
So what she killed someone fair play to her shes iconic her books are amazing and so is she. she made a mistake as a child shes moved on she served her time lu ann
Bashing her friend’s mother’s head in with a brick, causing well over 40 injuries, to be a “mistake” exactly? If she expressed any remorse I’d feel more generous but she refuses to even acknowledge it.
@@AleisterCrowleyMagus she did express remorse! There is a documentary about Anne called Interiors were she talks about the murder and expresses it was wrong
Lmao at the hypocrites saying "she should know better at 15". Yes, she is a vicious murderer. But aren't 15 year olds innocent children by your logic? Because y'all are the same people that angelize 15 year old girls as "innocent victims" when they have relations with 30 year olds (who are labeled predators). So a 15 year old can only consent to killing and not affection? Yep, makes sense. 😒🙄
Your comment was fair until you bringt se*ual assault , what the actual FU*** how Could you compare things like that All I see is someone giving credit to predators yes a 15 yo girl Is still a child and no she didnt deserve to be assaulted ... Man you more than a hypocrite you are twisted and filthy..
Distinguished? Is that what murderers are called these days?

Finally good news
Psycho murderer deserves maximum punishment. Not interviews
People do not want redemption even after the price has been paid
