Howd Birkbeck and Westminster for psychology and neuroscience?? Im planning for next intake but im really confused….or any other uni with similar eligibility criteria?
@Kris Martin yeah i like that fact Birkbeck has a number of Mature students, it will help me in network with professionals working in various fields.
Our exams were given base marking from the council board due to covid classes…and hence even a majority of us fall out of the eligibility criteria of applying at UCL, KCL, LSE, Imperial and other Russell group unis….hence Birkbeck was my top choice…

I think it’s because it’s done on world ranking rather than UK ranking. St Andrews should be way higher.

@@bananaphysics1746 world rankings are not consistent? National rankings are wayyy more inconsistent than world rankings. Also QS is the most widely respected ranking system.
Domestic rankings are based largely on student reviews, if you want a student review table go on student crowd. It underestimated the status of universities.

QS World University Rankings are the most highly-respected, and truly reflect the status of a university, without jumping all over the place based on what side of the bed a student woke up on for the NSS survey.

advise you researching and review other universities also.
For business studies in general Loughborough is good, though not top tier. For that you should look for Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, UCL, Imperial (they have business related degrees in post grad), Warwick, and maybe Bath.

Yes but there's better.
Try get into Warwick/KCL for it those two are your best bets. If not then Manny 3rd. Then if you can't get into any of those 3, Notts probably is one of your best bets.

@@fatemakhatunnesa3625 i heard about that student there, but as per world rank, it isnt that bad, and i heard many students said its good who have studied there and there were some who said otherwise, so I believe it depends from person to person, could be one for good and bad for other as per the subject preference. Keeping in mind the faculty available for english literature, I think it won’t be bad. About other subjects, can’t comment on that.

That is why tgey have bad comments and good comments of every uni

Really depends on you and not just the degree. I too took Bsc computer science and I choose Brunel. I was a 3.75GPA student throughout high school so I honestly didnt want a top university when I knew Id struggle. Plus as an introvert I like how peaceful it is outside central London (40min away) and youve got a national park just 15min away. The rooms are cozy and the people are great. I saw you got into Manchester tho and Im really happy for you. Good luck!!

There are 27,000 universities in the world. This year Leeds University is ranked at 86 the QS international tables which brings it within the top one third of one percent of world universities.. It is of course a Russell group university. The top 100 employers in the UK (ie The High Flyers' report which is viewable online) ) publish an annual ranking of the 20 universities whose graduates they favour most. Physics....... Imperial, Oxford and Cambridge. All 3 are almost equal.

Personally, I find for STEM related degrees Cambridge and the Imperial College are slightly better though when It comes to humanities Oxford surpasses both. Though if you go to any of the three for physics you are far better off than most.
University of Manchester is also excellent in Physics.
